Up front in the beginning on how long the process is when negotiating a settlement. It is your responsibility to provide them as much information as possible, do not procrastinate on this (we didn’t and it was for the better). Always professional when I had to communicate with the firm. I did once had to offer some “constructive criticism” and I received an apology. Those things can happen and it was not a huge deal. Overall, they failed to impress and I was surprised by their lack of professionalism. For example: they made a mistake on our wiring instructions, even after we confirmed the instructions and account number over the phone with them. I don't know about you, but I would like a law firm that pays attention to detail when dealing with large sums of my money! I regret working with this firm and have doubts about their moral integrity given the way they behaved throughout.

In our experience with them, they were incompetent, unresponsive, and while they were brought on to act as a neutral third party to our transaction, the way they were acting it seemed to me that they were actually representing the other party in our interaction, which had not been disclosed or suggested. If they were in fact representing the other party and had not disclosed this to us, that strikes me as grounds for a California Bar sanction. Truly revolting “professionals."

After hiring the wrong attorney for the first year of my divorce and custody battle, I'm so thankful that I switched to Jon Albrecht. He did the impossible.
