In December of 2019 I was hit by another driver it seemed that they were underinsured they only had a $10,000 policy my attorney which was Paul Shapiro I contact well he wasn't my attorney yet but I contacted him and he became my attorney even at the $10,000 mark he would only be getting 33% of that which is not very much but he took the case anyway he was able to find that my insurance company I had a $25,000 uninsured underinsured motorist on my policy I was unaware of it I was very surprised when you told me that in total there would be a $35,000 settlement mr. Shapiro lines me up with two different chiropractors when the chiropractor help was not resolving my pain issues he had the chiropractor refer me to a specialist and that specialist found out that there was an issue that was caused by the accident in which required a $80,000 operation well I'm a poor man I work for a living I don't have $80,000 in my pocket don't have it in a bank account mr. Shapiro was able to acquire the $25,000 under insured motorist payment which was my insurance company and for some reason or other they wanted to hold up for several months keep in mind this accident took place in December of 2019 yesterday October 26th or the 27th he was able to convince my insurance company that they needed to go ahead and pay that $25,000 fee especially since the other insurance company had no problem paying their $10,000 fee once they found out what the issue was yes I would recommend to mr. Paul Shapiro very highly he has a very dedicated staff and he's very dedicated to his work he does not like to see people hurt and being stepped on the insurance companies do not like mr. Mr Pelham is a money grabber to his clients. My daughter/stepdaughter nicknamed Deila had a claim and it was carried on up to 9 years. Her mother passed and since I had adopted her at birth and my name was on her case as a contact individual, I was left to handle her case since she is a juvenile. Last year around November, I contacted Mr Pelham and I was told I couldn’t talk with him to personally situations of Mr Pelham that I will not reveal. Recently I got a chance to talk with Pelham and was told that he can’t deal with my daughter case anymore because I spoke with the insurance company in which he is or was filing the law suit with. I never spoke with no insurance company. No insurance company never tried to get in contact with me although I knew not to answer the phone. Mr Pelham, I do think you as many do “cashed out” but I am in the process of looking into this matter. My deceased wife and I trusted you with our daughter case and you failed us. You were a great attorney from the start. You met with us, you spoke with us as a good attorney should but you failed us with no further information nor communication. I will pray for you because money struck is not good when you take advantage of clients. Lawyers are suppose to help their clients not make their suffering harder. Fonvielle Lewis Messer and McConnaughhay took our case right away. My wife was injured at a business and the business' insurance refused to pay the medical bills, loss of work and vacation. It took a year but eventually we got the money. We asked very little from the insurance company. They ended up paying us and our lawyers. Even the business owner was mad because before we got the money, the insurance company tripled his premiums. Unreal. It was really easy dealing with FLM&MC.
