I got into a bad accident. My car was totaled and I was out of work for weeks. Michael Ortiz ended up being a big mistake. He was friends with my chiropractor and both of them made a pretty penny while I got peanuts. He insisted that I accept the first offer from the insurance company which left me with 2500 dollars. This firm handled my house closing. Out of a dozen or more home sales, it was by far the worst closing I have even taken part in. They were unprepared, rude, did not have my money at closing, blamed everyone from the buyer's financing to Fedex for their mistakes. At the time of my accident I was working in a nursing home. You really had to work for your pay which included being short staffed. I was on WC for about a month before my husband said you should be getting paid. Mind you I was unable to walk at all, couldn’t shower without help, and I had 4 kids to still tend to. I worked for a roofing supply company for the past three and a half years. During that time the physical demand of the job took a toll on my body, and accidents were many, so much so that I had three different Worker’s’ Compensation claims that were still active.
