If I could go out and shout that there are still good, kind people left in this world that is what I would do, because that is the experience I had at this law firm. Total support throughout the whole process, I was filing for disability, a process that should have taken at least a year or two, took 3 months and I was approved. I am the mother of the defendant she is representing. She speaks very rudely to me like I do not matter. First time I spoke to her on the phone she was rude, rushed through all information she was giving to me like I was a “bother” in her day. My brother in law (different ethnic group) seemed to have a different “better” experience. Perhaps cause he is the one paying her is what I’m left to assume. Regardless of Nixon’s busy schedule there is no need to be rude and abrupt when dealing with family members of a certain ethnicity. She may be a good attorney from what I have heard but she clearly is not a good people person with tact and good communication skills outside the courtroom. For that I personally would never use her to represent me nor would I recommend her. Note: her tone was so rude and unprofessional in my opinion I had to walk out of the room today so I would not be reprimanded by the sheriff in the other room

Used them for a closing on a house I purchased contract stated that seller would pay fifty percent of closing costs. The last week before closing the bank needed a dollar amount. Connie from brown brown and brown told me the figures and what fifty percent would be. We went with their figures at the closing their figures were wrong by over 3600$ That’s a lot of money. Needless to say I ended up loosing over 2200$ because of their incompetence with their closing figures. I’ll never use this firm again Connie pretty much told me to get bent and was extremely rude. Do yourself a favor and go elsewhere.

JD was not responsive or helpful at all! This was my family's first time experience with conflict with the law and had looked to JD for guidance and help with my brother's case. We paid the upfront fee of $1,500 as requested by his office but he did not even show up for my brother bill bond hearing...in fact he did not show up at all for anything. He did not even bother to call reach out to my brother to inquire about the case. In the end, we had to figure out the court system ourselves, reach out to the detective ourselves and eventually gave up after many attempts to reach JD over a span of a couple of months and got a different lawyer. JD was a waste of money and time with added stress!

JD had her doing her own footwork then he said he didn't present the case because Judge Burke's body language suggested that "he didn't want to hear it" WTH? Then instead of going to the jail to explain his out come (8-11 years) He took off with his family to the beach.... SMH!! She should have known that all the confederate decor that he wasn't for OUR kind. Had to give a star to say all this... you deserve a 0
