I sure wish I would have googled these guys before deciding to hire them. There is one review on Yelp that shows James Pak criminal record in Arizona. Which at first I didn't really care, it shouldn't inhibit James ability to do his job but after the issues and my daughter was able to find the website for the city court house, there is a verified criminal record, pretty serious also. Drug charges and what not. Helps explain the problems and short comings of this law office. It's not even his firm. It looks like a guy named etengoff has retired and left him in charge. Big mistake!! Our families case started well before covid. I'll reiterate what other reviewers mentioned as they are spot on... They call you and return phone calls to get you to sign on the dotted line. They'll harass you to fill out the paperwork and then once you do, you'll never hear from them again. I mean, 6 months went by without getting even a return email. I understand the Corona virus is making business a lot more difficult for everyone but Ive paid my insurance premiums on time for over 20 years. Jim pak promised me service he could not deliver. Our case is still on going and I wanted the wait to write a review but I had the last straw. They're trying to force us to take a settlement that won't even cover all our medical bills or replace my newish family van. Of course we agreed to the fee that Jim Pak charges but that was because we were led to believe we would get, at a minimum, made whole. Now, because I hired these fake attorneys (Jim wasn't even licensed in Oregon until this year) I will owe money for an accident that wasn't our fault. To Whom it May Concern, We hired James L. Pak Personal Injury Attorney 3 years ago. Our overall experience with this law firm has been a bumpy and rocky road. While we did give them 2 stars, they earned that extra star from the superb service they gave us in the beginning of our case. Early on we were kept up-to-date and apprised of all changes to our case. Because this was a very serious car accident where one of our family members passed, we wanted the best attorney we could find. James L. Pak is not it. After the first 8 months of working with them the phone calls stopped. It would be days or weeks before calls were returned - at one point 8 months had gone by without hearing a word about our pending litigation against the truck drivers insurance. Even after we started talking to other legal minds to try and garner some sort of support and help we still were met with voicemails and non returns of calls. It did take three years to settle this case. And while yes, we did receive a fairly large amount of money, this office took a six figure sum right off the top. It took them months to remit final payment to us. Heed the warnings of the other clients that have been treated great in the beginning and then ignored at the end. There are plenty of other attorneys that hold law licenses in both Washington and Oregon that will be able to assist you in your case. I have enclosed a form letter with the law offices information to try and bolster our claims. I did block out some of the information for security purposes. I was asked twice by email to post a review so here you go. I contacted this law firm after an accident that left me with some pretty bad neck injuries. Treatment was pretty good - just down the street to the local chiropractor. Went for 4 months or so - 3 times a week . I then went about 6 months without hearing from my attorney nor the office. I was thinking with them making thousands off my injury case I would at least here of a status update once every couple months or so. After almost a year after the accident I got a low-ball offer from the at-fault insurance. The law firm insisted I took the first offer and kept saying this is their "final offer". I'm glad I denied it as they came up a little on the offer but still on the low side for the injury and the industries standard (did some research myself) Would I recommend them? Probably not. Hiring an attorney is a big decision and make sure you find one that'll communicate well and fight for you to get the compensation you deserve.
