I honestly wouldn't recommend this lawyer or his law firm. This lawyer has too many cases that can't keep up and help his customers as he should. I had a case with him for 6 months and during this time he never did any kind of investigation on my case. He cancelled appointments in very short times or he wouldn't be at his office at appointment times. He will call you only when he wants more money. If you have a loved one that he is representing, i ask you not to choose this lawyer. He and his firm will try to pursuade you that he has is great and has all the experience to help you with your case but will not do their job. Please look for someone who is profesional about his job and representing his customers. Surprisingly after three years I get reply for the firm about taking a look at the case! After three years a love one can be serving a long sentence or even life because of the bad service that you provide for your customers that you charge to represent. If you don’t have the staff to represent your customers, stop been so money hungry and taking on cases when you can’t represent your clients.

Put succinctly, she was intelligent, hard working, responsive, and very knowledgeable throughout our time working together. We found Janet Hong through a personal referral and we are so glad we did. My friend's 15-year-old son got charged with robbery for pushing some kid and taking his cell phone. His son is autistic and suffers from severe social anxiety and depression. He was already in counseling and receiving special education through the school, but recently his behavior had gotten worse. My cousin was charged with attempted murder in Riverside for allegedly stabbing someone. He was facing life in prison. We could not believe it. Called a number of firms. This was the only one to answer. Chelsey was knowledgeable and they were willing to wait for me to get there. Court was the following day so there was a bit of panic. This was for a restraining order for a false allegation of domestic violence. Everyone at one point or another makes a mistake they wish they could take back while enduring the repercussions of their act. When the law is concerned, the fate of ones’ life can seem to be decided as nonchalant as a casual business conversation. In my case, I revealed my violation when I was applying for the police department to prove my honesty and show that I was ready to start making a difference in my community. My interview soon became an interrogation, and not long after I was charged with three felonies. When I came to Tom Medrano with my case, he immediately began to draw up a plan and described everything in detail what he would do. He used simple anagrams that explained how to go about dealing with the situation and gave counsel with the sense of optimism I needed. Most importantly, by the impression I gathered, he could empathize with my predicament whereas the justice system only made me feel like an outcast among society. I followed instruction by seeing the therapist and psychologist he recommended personally. At the final hearing my case was dropped to a single charge, with no jail time, and a short period of probation. I felt like I could finally relax after being so stressed from the matter. I was very pleased with all Tom had been able to work out. Not only did he reduce the typical sentence, he was able to arrange for a second set of terms. Halfway through my probation we would return to court, reduce the felony to a misdemeanor, discard the remaining time of probation, and expunge the charge from my criminal record. Just as he had planned, the court agreed to dismiss my case. I want to thank Tom so much for representing me and all his hard work. I feel confident I can move on with my life without the burden of my past hindering my future.

I reached out to several lawyers prior to obtaining Brian Hurwitz as my lawyer. It was clear from our first phone conversation that he was the guy for the job. My case initially started with a restraining order. It then went to three felonies (two being violent felonies) and a restraining order. I literally saw my life drastically changing for the worst right before my eyes. Brian had the courage to pick up both of my cases. The victim, who was my ex girlfriend, was doing everything in her power to make my life miserable and put me in jail for a long time. In 2019 I was arrested in Pasadena facing 25 years. this was my first time ever being arrested or charged with a crime, and I had 5 felonies. I thought my life was over. He immediately set up a meeting to come and visit me, where I explained my situation. Unlike with my public defender I really felt that Karthik wanted to help me, and that he would do everything in his power to help me. Within 2 weeks we had made more progress than in the previous 3 months, and my outlook on the situation began to change. I remember one day Karthik was visiting me, and he could see that I was very stressed. He asked what I was concerned about, and I explained that I was loosing hope and that I didn’t know if I would ever see the outside would again. After patiently listening Karthik then explained his step by step game plan for every single one of those concerns. I cannot tell you what a difference this made, I went back to my cell filled with hope. This hope was kept alive due to the great communication he had with me, I never felt forgotten. I stopped worrying about getting “lost in the system” because I knew he wouldn’t let that happen. Karthik seemed to take a lot of pride in helping me, and I could see that he was actively motivated to get me justice. This in turn motivated me to stay out of trouble in the jail, and to not give up, something many inmates around me had done. I really felt that he went above and beyond to help me not only understand the laws and the legal side, but to also show me that my life wasn’t over. In the end I was sentenced to formal probation, with a program instead of state prison. I could not have been more satisfied with this outcome. Karthik even explained that in a few years I have an opportunity to reduce my felonies to misdemeanors, and that he would be able to help me with that too. He went above and beyond to help me, and I could not have been more grateful to have found him and this firm.

My dad got his 3rd DUI and was facing a lot of jail time. I was able to convince him to hire a private DUI attorney instead of the public defender. We just can't say enough good things about our experience with the Shouse Law Group and our attorney David Woolf especially. When our grandfather was injured, we really needed someone to step up and they did that and then some. They fought for us, won, and even more importantly, showed heart and compassion while doing so.
