Falsely accused of unimaginimal offences all because of a bad divorce where I had won full physical and legal custody of our daughter. Rob and his team faught very hard to show what was truth.

This is my experience with The Chastaine Law Office as a client. Like many people, you do not want to be in the position when you need a lawyer, and in the unfortunate occasion that you need one, you want the best lawyer you can hire. With that being said, I CANNOT confidently recommend The Chastaine Law Office as a reputable, competent, effective or efficient law office. They have an approach (sales technique) of saying that once you hire us, you’ll have the whole firm working on your case instead of just 1 dedicated lawyer. Initially, I felt confident in their capabilities as a firm and was eager to work with them. However, over the course of working with The Chastaine Law Office, I began to wish only 1 lawyer would be focused on my case. At times, there was miscommunication (or lack of communication) amongst the lawyers and paralegals, resulting in redundant conversations which translated to them being unprepared at times. I cannot argue that the COVID-19 pandemic did not have a negative impact on their effectiveness. However, the 3 decades worth of experience was not a positive indicator of adaptability. The Chastaine Law Office struggled with using their online portal which resulted in longer turnaround times for proper coordination. I understand that we must work together to increase a more desirable result, however, I cannot sit idly waiting for the proper utilization of their online portal while I have other personal responsibilities. Without going into too many specific details, my case was not the most straight-forward case, that being said, my situation was not uncommon. I sought legal counsel hoping that I would benefit greatly from a private lawyer instead of retaining a public defender. However, I passionately believe a public defender could have achieved the same results. At times, there were questions they did not have the answers to and directed me to different resources where I can have my questions answered. I understand that not one person knows everything, but when you are paying for a service then answers for the questions regarding your case should be included. With several years of experience as lawyers, I was surprised there was not a clear and concise explanation on what to do as a client. They explained to me what they would attempt to do once I hired them, but once they were hired, I was left clueless on what to do as a client. The Chastaine Law Office should employ a more effective, methodical and communicative approach conveying to their clients what they can simultaneously do so their lives can return to normal. [TL;DR] Lastly, I do apologize for having a harsh tone. The Chastaine Law Office wasn’t entirely a waste of money, however, I do believe they have a lot to work on from a client’s perspective. Jessica Davis and Shane Hoover were pleasure to work with and had a great deal of empathy. They are the reason why my review did not result in a lower rating. Overall, I believe better results could have been achieved if that opportunity wasn’t lost due to switching between lawyers in the firm, competency deficiencies, ineffective counsel and COVID-19. Being out of town it was very hard to find a trustworthy and reliable attorney to represent me and save me from having to travel back and forth for court appearances but thankfully I came across a highly recommended attorney; Mr. Atwal. He was not only professional but so understanding of my situation, he fought for my rights and for the best possible outcome. He was responsive and was always a text or phone call away. I had a very scary unfortunate experience. My prior representation wasn’t doing anything close to what was done for me here at this law firm. I was facing some serious charges . I got them basically dropped with an agreement to do two days of classes. I was facing trial , scared to death. Mr. Foos worked with me financially so that I was able to retain his expertise. Not cheap but well worth it. I hope I don’t ever have to refer friends but if I do it will be here to this firm. I find my self extremely lucky!

He was unexpectedly released from jail while still in a psychotic break and I had no idea where he was. Don't let this kind professional young lady fool you, she is a ferocious pit bull when it comes to Protecting her clients. I am thoroughly impressed with Jennifer. She is very professional and truly cares about her clients and the impact that injustice has on them. She does not take shortcuts she doesn't back down from a fight. He's a standup guy! I had discovered him online, called before even hiring and he gave me useful information, I didn't hire him at that time. I used his information to talk to my public defender but it wasn't going anywhere. About year and half gone by and D.A. was trying to give horrible deal. I contacted Richard again and he took the case even being as old as it was! Couple months preliminary hearings go by and BOOM! Richard informs me all charges were dismissed! Allaye Chan Law group is by far one of the best. Criminal defense attorney R. Chan will stand up and fight for you when you need him to. My husband got himself into a severe conflict with the law and was being accused of Felony assault with a deadly weapon plus code enhancement. We thought all hope was lost but Allaye Chan worked us wonders and got the charge dropped to a misdemeanor. Not only did he get the Felony charge dropped but he also got sentencing reduced greatly. We couldn't be more thankful for all the time and work he put into the case. He is an expert at what he does and truly knows his way around the courtroom. This firm has represented two of my family members in separate matters and both had successful outcomes. Mr. Allaye-Chan personally represented a family member in a criminal case and was successful in having the charge dismissed. Another family member was 7 days away from having their home auctioned due to foreclosure and Mr. Allaye-Chan and his associate, Shannon, quickly filed paperwork for bankruptcy to save their home. It was very short notice but Mr. Allaye-Chan again met personally with the family member and started work immediately to stop the foreclosure. He definitely has a Type A personality which may be off-putting to some people, but he has gotten results for my family and I would highly recommend him and his firm.

I've been in trouble before.. Ive been around long enough to know that you're much better off with a paid attorney than a PD. You get what you pay for is what my mother always said.. When I was referred to Dave Knoll by a personal friend I was told that he and Christy had gotten all charges dismissed. I thought I could only be so lucky. Having multiple cases, the retainer was higher than expected, but was fair, after all things considered. I had three separate cases in two different counties. One of which was a serious felony with a prior strike. I remember, at one point, I felt disatisfied as if my opinion or concerns were being brushed off without proper consideration. In actuality I was just being overly anxious. Probably, due to the stress and pressure of possible prison time over my head. We completed the felony case last month when Dave got all charges dropped at prelim. This just 2 weeks after the DA made an offer of 2 years in state prison at 80% and 3 years formal probation. I hope for similar resolutions, with the other two cases. In any case I think hiring David Knoll is the best decision I ever could have made.

Christy Van Stelle is amazing!!!! I reached out to her after having researched other lawyers for the expungement of my case and am so happy that I chose her for my case. My case was expunged within a few weeks and during the whole process, she was communicating with me and updating me on everything that was going on. She truly cares about the people that she helps and will be very open and honest about everything that is going on. She also could have charged me way more but states that this was a type of case she handled all the time and would not overcharge me like the rest of the lawyers I had contacted. Very Responsive!! Hendrick had my probation warrant cleared the day after I contacted him. He appeared in court for me on my arraignment and got my probation complete with time served and now he working on getting my charges expunged. He handled my case in a timely manner. Everything was cleared up with a week of me contacting him. No warrant, No Probation/ Alternative Sentencing or jail time. I'm free and clear!
