Do not hire this lawyer. I spoke to him over the phone, sounded like he was ready to help, discussed my case and decided to hire him. After the contract was signed and i paid. I was unable to get a hold of him again, to this day.. I now have an arrest warrant because I did not appear to the court he failed to notify me about. My violation occurred in May of 2020. Its now May 2021. FRAUD!!!

This was my first time ever needing an Attorney, and I did a lot of research. I trusted in the reviews from Google to help me decide. Based off the reviews, I decided to go with Douglas Goss Law Firm. He IMMEDIATELY contacted me and made me feel at ease and confident in his abilities to help me during this difficult time. We initially talked on the phone briefly regarding my situation and he agreed to take my case. That evening he emailed me the contract, I signed and paid him in full. After he received payment, he asked me to provide all supporting documentation to help back my claim. He did acknowledge that he received my documents via email and claimed he would begin working the case the following day. He called me for a second time, the following day to discuss the details and his plan. After that, I never heard back from him. After almost a week of me trying to get ahold of him, I finally get a text response stating he was in the hospital and would call me the following day, which never happened. I attempted to call, email and text MULTIPLE times asking him for status updates, but never replied. I then began requesting him to cancel the contract as he did not provide services as agreed. To this day, I STILL have NOT heard from him. He is a fraud!!!! Do NOT hire this man! Poor communication and lack of following thorough with our contract. He stole my money and never worked my case.

You can tell a good Lawyer the moment you step into his office and you can tell a terrible one the same way .Trust me I saw it all during this 2 years of this terrible case. I lost my job and was about to be deported for a crime I didn't commit . Yes the government had overwhelming evidence to put me behind bar. Medical report, police report , 5 witnesses , 1 expert witness. It was like the end has come for an immigrant black man like myself . It was my word alone against the might of the government. He bailed out on me before trial. Gill somera took on this case 4 weeks before trial. He breezed into the court room like he owned it looking smart in that navy blue suit. He wasn't afraid and that gave me that needed confidence. He talked with the DA. Trial was scheduled. He did his thing and on the 3rd appearance the DA gave me a deal I couldn't refuse. To hear that WORD DISMISAL WAS LIKE HEAVEN ON EARTH. Thanks to you Gill and thanks to my God in heaven who gave you the strength and grace to fight and win. Sorry for all the typos lol... I met Mr. Somera years ago as a juror on one of his cases and walked away amazed at the passion and gracefulness he had during trial. I asked him for his card back then because you never know when you need a good attorney and low and behold years later a friend needed help and I knew just who to call. This case was a devastating vehicular manslaughter incident and a young man was looking at years of prison time. I was emailing Jesse, sent him all my court information and he never got back to me. Called the office and they told me they would give my case to Carin, who I also sent everything to and all she did was ask for my phone number, which I sent and I never received a call or email or anything. Just a big waste of time. I was really trying to retain them since I read good reviews. I just had a bad experience with communication with them.

I was pulled over by CHP back in 2017 after cutting off a driver who had been going too slow in the left lane. The officer asked me if I had consumed any drinks that evening, and I answered truthfully -- yes, but I had stopped 4 hours ago. The "yes" was only the answer he was looking for, and I was forced out of my car for field sobriety testing. The officer administered the tests multiple times until he was satisfied that he had a result he could exploit, then placed me into the back of his patrol vehicle and hauled me off to county jail. When I was released the next day, I asked my attorney friends for recommendations for a good DUI attorney. When I explained the nuances of my arrest and the ramifications of a potential DUI conviction on my career to the recommended attorneys, several of them referred me to the person they said they would want to represent themselves: Peter Johnson. It is not an exaggeration to say that Peter has written the book on DUI defense, because he has, literally; search for "California Driving Under the Influence Defense" by Taylor and Johnson, and you'll find the 2020-2021 edition, published by Thomson Reuters. I scheduled an appointment and met with Peter a day or two later. We got straight to the facts while they were still fresh, both of us writing down everything, and then explained to me his strategy: trust nothing about the "facts" provided by the officer, but question and verify everything. He then got to work, and oh man, did he do a good job. The field test results were thrown out by the judge because they were found to be improperly obtained. The blood tests were also suspect, as the DA's office had their lab test them five (!!) times, with varying results each time. Their own lab director refused to testify to the veracity of the results, which is just mind boggling. Peter said that he would fight for me, and fight he did: my case was recently settled to my satisfaction. I hope that you do not need his services, but if you do, give him a call. You will not regret it.

Don't let this kind professional young lady fool you, she is a ferocious pit bull when it comes to Protecting her clients. I am thoroughly impressed with Jennifer. She is very professional and truly cares about her clients and the impact that injustice has on them. She does not take shortcuts she doesn't back down from a fight. I've been in trouble before.. Ive been around long enough to know that you're much better off with a paid attorney than a PD. You get what you pay for is what my mother always said.. When I was referred to Dave Knoll by a personal friend I was told that he and Christy had gotten all charges dismissed. I thought I could only be so lucky. Having multiple cases, the retainer was higher than expected, but was fair, after all things considered. I had three separate cases in two different counties. One of which was a serious felony with a prior strike. I remember, at one point, I felt disatisfied as if my opinion or concerns were being brushed off without proper consideration. In actuality I was just being overly anxious. Probably, due to the stress and pressure of possible prison time over my head. We completed the felony case last month when Dave got all charges dropped at prelim. This just 2 weeks after the DA made an offer of 2 years in state prison at 80% and 3 years formal probation. I hope for similar resolutions, with the other two cases. In any case I think hiring David Knoll is the best decision I ever could have made.

Christy Van Stelle is amazing!!!! I reached out to her after having researched other lawyers for the expungement of my case and am so happy that I chose her for my case. My case was expunged within a few weeks and during the whole process, she was communicating with me and updating me on everything that was going on. She truly cares about the people that she helps and will be very open and honest about everything that is going on. She also could have charged me way more but states that this was a type of case she handled all the time and would not overcharge me like the rest of the lawyers I had contacted. He's a standup guy! I had discovered him online, called before even hiring and he gave me useful information, I didn't hire him at that time. I used his information to talk to my public defender but it wasn't going anywhere. About year and half gone by and D.A. was trying to give horrible deal. I contacted Richard again and he took the case even being as old as it was! Couple months preliminary hearings go by and BOOM! Richard informs me all charges were dismissed! Allaye Chan Law group is by far one of the best. Criminal defense attorney R. Chan will stand up and fight for you when you need him to. My husband got himself into a severe conflict with the law and was being accused of Felony assault with a deadly weapon plus code enhancement. We thought all hope was lost but Allaye Chan worked us wonders and got the charge dropped to a misdemeanor. Not only did he get the Felony charge dropped but he also got sentencing reduced greatly. This firm has represented two of my family members in separate matters and both had successful outcomes. Mr. Allaye-Chan personally represented a family member in a criminal case and was successful in having the charge dismissed. Another family member was 7 days away from having their home auctioned due to foreclosure and Mr. Allaye-Chan and his associate, Shannon, quickly filed paperwork for bankruptcy to save their home. It was very short notice but Mr. Allaye-Chan again met personally with the family member and started work immediately to stop the foreclosure. He definitely has a Type A personality which may be off-putting to some people, but he has gotten results for my family and I would highly recommend him and his firm.
