Big waste of time and money. Filed motion 2 weeks late after I gave him a check for retainer and asked him to file an emergency motion to bring my son back to PSL after spose left with child. Brandt told me this was not an emergency and never filed that motion on my behalf to let the judge determine. I then asked him to hold her in contempt and he sent me a contest to the relocation. 2 motions filed had typos. Attorney was unwilling to give me the time that my case deserved even though I paid my retainer in full. Trying to get this attorney to move is like moving a mountain. He feels entitled to the retainer without performing the necessary work. Hiring Brandt as my attorney was the biggest mistake that I could have made. On top of all of the very bad customer service they want $350 an hour for a divorce and this guy has a dog running around the office. Not very professional. Again, do not waste your time it is not worth the effort. You will be hiring another attorney as I did. And just as another client mentioned They will not call or communicate unless they want money. You will have to stay on top of them and that is a job in itself. Goof luck!

I hired Mr. Garland to file an appeal after the public defender failed me on fighting a resisting without violence charge. He is knowledgeable, strait forward and professional. He was very good at oral arguments and fast thinker. I believe Mr. Kirschner is a very intelligent, very experienced defense lawyer. The problem is, I think he's either gotten to the point where he's overworked and doesn't have time for you, or he's just starting to care less than he used to. I could be wrong; I'm not really sure what the case is. I am sure that my husband sat in the SL County Jail for over 2 months, waitingfor his attorney to arrive. I had to get a different attorney just 12 days before his hearing, because Mr. Kirschner never did visit the jail even once to consult with his client. It was really sad, because I was out of state and couldn't do anything...in the end, I literally tried to beg him to go, but he would not respond. Sadly, things did not end well for my poor husband. "People don't care how much you know or who you know, until they know how much you care."

He demanded a $3500 retainer of which was provided but after discussing the case with him his pessimism and lack of confidence led me seek competent representation.
