Very responsive to e-mails. Explained any question I had about anything very clearly, while also letting me know what to expect but always reminded me that anything is possible. The outcome I was facing was a Misdemeanor that could have cost me thousands and that got lowered to a Petty Offense with just a few hundred dollar fine. 19 y/o facing license suspension for 2 moving violation within 24 months. Joel said he would change my guilty plead to court supervision (I did not know I would get my license suspended for pleading guilty). He ended up getting the ticket dismissed entirely and off my record. Net, I spent very little considering the fee I would have paid to get my license back and driving school. In this, the state also wrote me a check for the amount on the ticket Joel got dropped. Very worth it and I highly recommend.

I wish I had the same experience as the previous reviewer. But, Mr. Naughton completely ignored my case. He seemed to get the facts wrong and became angry at simple questions, I found it uneasy working with him. I am sure he was a good lawyer at some point, but I thought my experience with him seems like he is tired and burned out, and is now simply out to get money from people without doing the job correctly. I felt that he takes all the cases the same way and will not individualized people, like staying on cruise control I cannot recommend him at this point.

This was one of the absolute worst experiences I’ve ever had with an “attorney” for any reason whatsoever, by far-without exception. Maybe he excels at the small stuff-DUI arrests, etc.-thus the glowing reviews. Or, perhaps those reviews are all bogus. I have no idea. All I can say is that from my experience as a divorce lawyer he was inconsistent at best to downright verbally abusive at worst…he actually screamed and hung up on me several times-although that never stopped him from charging for those calls-and he would also do the same in person. It was humiliating to be treated so unprofessionally (nice way to put it), while also going through a painful divorce after an abusive fifteen-year marriage. He did not fight for me, my child or our rights. All I asked for was a fair and equitable financial split and what I ended up with as the custodial parent (which was at my ex’s request) was complete garbage. I was the one who caught the vast majority of the finances my ex husband was just blatantly attempting to hide during discovery. I was the one who pointed out inconsistency after inconsistency on the settlement, parenting agreement-etc. And it’s not as if his services are cheap…I dealt with his paralegal the vast majority of the time anyway. She seemed infinitely more knowledgeable and her manner was more appropriate and likable. Go get yourself a real attorney who specializes in Divorce and family law. Do not waste one minute on this guy.

1st contacts for legal help Scott suggested I go online and do it myself. After months and NOT able to do myself I called and Scott and Steve were in court as I was told by receptionist (?). She took my name and number and told me Steve would return my call. As of today it's been 6 days. Doesn't appear they are in the business of helping others. After sorting out the confusion ( a answering service not conveying my message) Scott has been in touch with me to help and expedite my legal needs. Very nice and professional. Definitely here to make a difference and help the people with their needs.

I am so thankful I had David's representation in court. I was facing 4 traffic convictions and he was able to get 2 of them dropped and court supervision for the other 2. I have never been in trouble before and he made the whole process very smooth. He is honest and told me exactly what I needed to get done to satisfy the courts. When I was involved in a car accident, I was wrongly issued a traffic ticket. It was not my fault, but the police wrote a police report based on the other driver's story only. David was very professional, logical, and thorough. During a trial, David was able to have the other driver testify his fault. I had a suspended/ revoked license for years for a incident that happened in 1994. Had both formal and informal hearings with the state . Denied for the most silly reasons. Always asked what do I need to do . I went to counseling I didn't need, was denied job opportunities and payed for sr22 insurance I didn't need. I was eventually arrested for driving on revoked. Heather looked at my driving abstract and quickly noticed that had a fine been payed my license should not be suspended. Quickly I received a letter telling me to go get my license from the state . Why don't the state employ educated lawyers like Heather which would streamline everything . She even worked with me on fees because of how the state did me. Still fighting the case but have confidence in this very bright lawyer.

Patricia represented me in three separate criminal cases, and managed to get a very favorable outcome in each case. The first case was a Class A misdemeanor case. Patricia did not represent me at the time I made the guilty plea bargain for one year Conditional Discharge (if she had, I could have likely been better off). I hired her one month before my sentence was due to finish because I unfortunately picked up a new DUI charge while on conditional discharge. Furthermore I only had 44 of 150 community service hours completed (I did have hip surgery weeks before my final court date where everything was due, but still I had a whole year to do it and I put myself in that situation). So Patricia fought the State's Petition-to-Revoke (PTR) my conditional discharge sentence, and have me re-sentenced, which likely would have resulted in jail time, as they were three very serious Class A misdemeanor charges. On the PTR, Patricia was able to get me an extra three months to finish my community service hours. Once the service hours were complete, she was able to ultimately beat the PTR, and achieved a satisfactorily termination of this case. The second case was a DUI first-offense, which I picked up while I was on conditional discharge for the above mentioned case. FIRST, Patricia filed and won a motion-top-rescind the summary-suspension of my driver's license. She did so the same day I got the notice, and my license was suspended less than one month as a result. Patricia was extremely patient with me on this case, as I took a long time to complete tasks she asked me to, such as a DUI evaluation, as well as getting started with the evaluation treatment recommendation. She counseled me to get said tasks done because she was fighting to get me court supervision, and ultimately, she prevailed. Per the final court supervision plea bargain, Patricia was able to negotiate to dismiss the three other traffic violations that happened in addition to the DUI. In the end, no criminal or driving record conviction, very reasonable fines and court costs, a counseling. I should note that the DUI case took 12 months to resolve, again, because I was slow. So slow, in fact, that I picked up a new criminal Class A misdemeanor traffic offense. I didn't hire Patricia for this particular new charge. Luckily, it was dismissed. When I told Patricia about it, she was very understanding about it and reassuring, so that I didn't feel bad about myself and give up altogether. This is what makes her that RARE kind of attorney. I know others that would drop me as a client, and others refused to represent me. THIRD and FINAL (hopefully!) case Patricia represented me in was for a Class B misdemeanor Aggravated Speeding charge. Now this happened before my DUI case was settled, and I was sentenced. I initially wasn't going to hire counsel, because the judge said court supervision was an option in exchange for a guilty plea. I asked for time to get an attorney. I just wanted time to think, and actually ALMOST pleaded guilty without hiring counsel, just hoping I could get supervision. Here is again why Patricia is a rare and amazing person and attorney. I literally called her at the end of business hours ONE DAY BEFORE my court date. I am so glad that I did. she explained to me the downside and risks to pleading guilty to a misdemeanor traffic offense for my criminal and driving records. Even in exchange for supervision, and no conviction. I am so glad I hired her for this matter. The speeding ticket was reduced so that it was a petty traffic offense, and not criminal anymore. The other moving violation was dismissed, and I walked away with court supervision, court costs and barely any fine. I got to keep my driver's license (again), and keep my records clean. In conclusion, Patricia is an extremely skilled, knowledgeable, effective, and rare attorney who is also kind and empathetic. She is THE BEST option you have when you need a criminal defense.
