My experience with the McShane firm has been interesting. I went through 2 attorneys and ended up with not the best deal. But one thing I will say is that attorneys Justin and Catherine McShane were able to rectify the situation the best they could. I had legal woes! I needed help. A lot was at stake for me. I called the McShane Firm and spoke to Attorney Tim Barrouk. By the time our call ended, I knew a couple things. Not happy with his work. He takes your money and runs. If you make a mistake he thinks you should learn from it and not give you a second chance. He demands so much money and shows up and does not represent you like he should.I lost my job and some family and all my money. I was told I would receive a military discount. Paid over $5000 to get Charges reduced that I didn't commit removed before sentencing. He got a possession charge thrown out. I do have a medical card. Could have done more I believe. I was told by Patrick charges would be reduced. This did not get accomplished because he made an excuse that the state wanted money out of me. Waste of money from my perspective. I ended up having to sign a guilty plea to charges I didn't even commit. Patrick said he could have done more if I took it to trial he stated but he wanted more $$ for that. What an unprofessional and unethical way of helping himself instead of me.. With all of their connections and their resources and how long he has been practicing law. I did expect more. I originally gave a one star review but he called me and complained and convinced me to bump it up to 3. I don't feel comfortable doing this but did anyway. The more time passes the worse I feel about this review. Its pathetic when someone takes your money and does not complete the job. Patrick contacted me, harassed me, and complained about his bad review. I feel that this firm took advantage of my misfortune. Try to convince me to upgrade your review again. What a bad joke. Seems to me that most of these 5 star reviews are fake. It is easy to tell because of the generic personalized wording with limited other reviews. A portion of the 5 star reviews are not even clients, just acquaintances. Others are not even real clients. Hard to trust a business that does this. Final update: one star is too good. You had me plead guilty to charges that I did not commit. I got attacked in my home but I received assault charges. Terrible lawyer avoid!! Hired this guy years ago for a bankruptcy case for me and my girlfriend paid $750.00 for each one total $1500.00 .Date of court case he didn't show up.
