I hired Michael Shults because I needed a divorce from my cheating husband. I was able to get a meeting with him pretty quickly. He was very good about laying out what to expect, the good the bad and the ugly. He didn't sugar coat anything and set my expectations on things that wouldn't happen. This review has been a long time coming. I had never heard of Mr. Slaughter. A former attorney of mine moved firms and was working under Mr. Salughter. From the moment I met him, he belligerently interrupted me and spoke to me as if I was a child. I was in a post-divorce child custody case. I will spare you the details; in short, this guy lacks empathy, professionalism, and manners. Walking into his office, you are impressed with all the five-star reviews he posted on his walls. Nothing could be further from the truth. His office was very disorganized and inefficient. The only thing they did right was the monthly statements his wife/accountant sent you. Do not hire this guy or his firm. Save your money and your dignity.

I had Micheal j. Clement as my attorney paid 3500 for a 10 year old case that was open and close case we get to court and I'm setting waiting for my name to be called judge call my name and Mr. Clement says he's not here so we might have to place a warrant for failure to appear I stand up and say r u joking. We needed a document notarized, we stopped in because this place is listed as a notary when we do a Google search for a notary in Clinton TN. When we walked in they told us they normally don't notarize unless you're a client. Maybe try to get Google to pull you off their listing for qualified notaries.
