I knew from the beginning that my case was going to be a tough one. Kent did too and was very upfront from the start. He told me that, due to the evidence the state had against me, we weren’t going to be able to fight it. But that didn’t stop him from doing everything he could to negotiate better terms for me as far as punishment. Andrew is quick to take the money but EXTREMELY slow/non-existent with the result. He HAS TO BE WRITING his own positive review because there is no way he should be admired for his professionalism. I gave him over 1k to complete expungement HE said I was eligible for on 10/9/19. Literally did not hear from him after multiple emails and texts over the 1st 5 months. After about 6 months he sends 1 text saying my expungement was approved but he was waiting for them to send the paperwork. I waited almost another 2 months i texted him for my paperwork and he text back saying he would look into. He called me back 1 time to say he messed up and didnt realize he couldnt do the expungement due to me having a non-disclosure on a prior case. I called down to the court house and they advise me he missed my the court appearance so it didn’t go through. After numerous texts to him he responds i will look into it when I get back from vacation. Another month or so goes by. He texted me back a one-liner saying he would do my non-disclosure for this case for free since he messed up on the expungement. Basically since 10/2019 I have spoken to him once. I AM FILING A GRIEVANCE with TX bar assoc. AND I still have no paperwork. PLEASE DONT USE HIM!!! He is the worst “professional” and a nightmare to deal with. You’ve been warned, this is not a drill.

This guy. Where to even start. I gave this guy $1500 to handle a case for me and the most he did was miss the freaking court date. Literally. Scott and Mallory are not good lawyers! Never ever have I been scammed like this before in my life. I was facing 3 felony cases. I hired the edgett law firm looking at the 5 star reviews they had, I decided to give them a try, I paid $12,000 dollars for really 3 months of work at most. And they had the nerves to hire the same person I got locked in jail with. On top of that when I asked for a refund all I got back was $1000 dollars, this was very disappointing. They couldn’t even offer me probation for my case. I asked why I didn’t get at least half my money back, their answer was we charge by the hour all of a sudden. I had no time to waste and hired a different attorney. And now i am on 10 years deferred probation! Don’t waste your time guys. These people is just out to take your hard earned money! I had to fight for my freedom because I have 4 kids and a wife at home. They didn’t help me with my case. It was bad news every time they spoke with the district attorney. Please stay away! I was suprised I contacted them at 10/1030 pm at night due to an alleged DUI and a revoked bond from a missed court appointment from months ago. Well to sum this up. They don’t communicate very much unless they need a payment. I literally drove up there to see what was going on with my case because i had not heard anything in over 2-3 months. My first felony ever and I decided to stick it out with them and boy was I lucky. The judge was lenient with my charge because i worked with law enforcement upon questioning. (The judges exact words) And upon questioning my lawyer about the process and what is happening he was getting antsy and got irritated because i wasn’t knowledgeable about what exactly happens through the legal system. I’m sorry I didn’t attend college to get my law degree. But didn’t you get your degree to actually help people and test the laws and see wether or not they were upheld? Or did you just get the degree for the money? Regardless I had gotten what I wanted (deferred adjudication) but would I return to them? Probably not. Pay them if you want but once they have your money and sign the contract don’t expect nothing more than a phone call to pay up every month. And make a decision 5 minutes before going into court for the final decision. Sorry if yall expected a 5 star review for me getting what I wanted but I was expecting a lot more for $5,000.
