I recently hired Pat when I was looking at thousands in fines, months in jail and losing my gun rights. Pat immediately got to work collecting and looking at all the evidence and talking with the DA. He told me everything I needed to do proactively to better my chances in court. I followed all his advice while he took care of all the court appearances and conversations necessary. I did my part and he took care of the rest. In the end he was able to get all the charges dropped except for a disorderly conduct charge. Without even going into details about the blatant mistakes that were made at sentencing and are on the record, the staff for Jessa are extremely unprofessional, rude, and not people you want to have to talk to. Even when a case is under active appeal years later and you are seeking important evidence, and have basic questions about what happened to the evidence that you personally handed to Jessa (it might be destroyed, it might not? Who knows? They don’t!), Jessa’s staff are unhelpful, unprofessional, and will even say offensive remarks when they feel personally offended (no class at all). Jessa’s staff member James was really kind and helpful when I emptied my life savings, but when I had very basic questions years later, he was a completely different person, a person I would never want to talk to, let alone pay to talk to. These people are in it for the money and their character will completely switch up when you’re no longer paying them. It’s fine to only care about the money, but is that who you really want representing you? Do you really want a law firm that employs staff that are rude and callous to former clients and their clients family members? Do you really want a law firm that has such a personal issue with answering even the most BASIC questions when a case they once had is under appeal? There are many great attorneys in this state, I would recommend going elsewhere, hire a lawyer who employs respectful staff whether you are a former or current client. Lastly, Jessa’s investigator is not great at all but that’s a story for another day.

I was NOT represented by this firm but I was with someone for every meeting, every email, and every phone call during their case. We were actually recommended these lawyers by another lawyers assistant. I am very dissatisfied by the service. Every time I asked a question the lawyer seemed annoyed. I understand it wasn’t my case but I still wanted what was best. It seemed as if we were a burden we didn’t get a response in a timely matter, had to reach out multiple times. What bothered me most was if we didn’t ask specific questions we only received general answers I feel we would have the same results with a state appointed attorney. Also after the sentencing we had questions that weren’t answered, reached out three days in a row and called the office still haven’t heard back. I did call right away in the beginning and complained about our given lawyer they just apologized and kept us with the same lawyer although nothing changed. I am no lawyer so I’m not sure what they have to go through but I feel somewhat disrespected and I wish I had found better service for my best friend. Working in healthcare I do understand that our jobs aren’t always easy and not everyday will be perfect, I guess I set my expectations too high. Thank you for your service though.
