We went to Mr. Robert Teague when we began our adoption process in April. He immediately began putting our profile out to the local mothers homes to help us connect with our future child. We ended up pairing with our sons family through other connections, but Robert was still quick to help us with the next steps, and to get our child’s natural family connected with their own representation. Our case was met with additional difficulty when we were told our son is Native American, and we would need to involve his tribe in the adoption as well. Generally, this is a major obstacle as the laws in place to protect the heritage of the child, can, and often do, prevent the adoption of these children to non-native parents like us. Robert began addressing this issue quickly, and to the disbelief of many, actually obtained a letter of non-involvement from the tribe! I’m a parent who was unhappy due to a bias review and after much research after my one-sided hearing, found out she never even contacted my character witnesses and never even cared about the interest of my children which is why they are now suffering. And when trying to contact her for an appeal and concern for my children she rejected me and sent me a Bill. Anytime someone deletes a review and only reveals their defense, is a dishonest woman indeed. Do not put the interest of your children in this woman’s hands! She doesn’t even have children of her own!! How can you trust someone to have empathy for you during a child custody case who has never possessed the feeling of not only having a child, but losing one? And if she had possibly lost a child, shame on her. And to be clear, she never presented an clear facts or evidence against me. She also didn’t present the evidence against my ex that I clearly presented to her.

I can't speak of the other lawyers at this firm, but working with Susannah Streit will make your face hurt. If you want your lawyer to advise you on standard procedures and proper strategy, you won't get that from her. She will just forward documents to you without reading them and ask you what you think. After you do some homework and legal study to figure out what you think, and tell her what you think, she won't read or respond to your email for months. If you want to be constantly bombarded with messages from the other side asking you to call your lawyer because their lawyer has been trying to get in touch with your lawyer for weeks and you love the embarrassment of saying, " Yeah me too," then she'll be a perfect fit for you. When she finally does respond to you after months of no contact, she'll want you to drive all the way to her office in Searcy and meet with her in person. You'll spend the first 15 minutes of every meeting watching her read the emails that she never responded to while she tries to catch herself up for the meeting that she scheduled. She'll then tell you that she's sorry and been really busy and the communication will get better; and you can rest assured knowing when you leave it will be another 3 months until you hear from her only after the constant barrage from the other side starts again. When you finally sign and notarize everything it will be another 2 months and when you ask what's taking so long she'll tell you you're waiting on the judge or the ad litem but the truth is you were waiting on her yet again and you'll know it the very next day when miraculously the judge and ad litem and everything that had been holding it up comes through. Long story short if you want to waste 2 years of your life on a cut and dry, open and shut case that never went to court and should only take 6 months, then this is the lawyer for you. If you want one single choke point that will cause a bottleneck that will drag on for months for every process and procedure and form of communication, then look no further. If all of this sounds like you'd rather jump off the empire state building and land on a bike with no seat, then you know what to do...
