I relocated to Asia in early 2016, unfortunately, my tenant started giving me headache after spending more than $8,000 on home improvement to make him happy. I hired a property manager to take care of my tenant, but my tenant started to intimidate me. The property manager suggested me to hire a lawyer to resolve issues. Finding an attorney was not a fun thing to do overseas, I am grateful that I found Kent (kudos to Yelp!). Our communication was done via emails and phone calls (date and time were always agreed before I called up) due to the time and location differences (Asia vs. America). I can see how busy he is and how small my case was (from attorney's point of view), however, he always responded to my emails in time and made time to talk to me over the phone. In addition, he has a menu price list, which gives me an idea how much to budget for the worse case scenario. My case was a bit complicated because both sides, tenant and landlord, did not fully understand the real estate law and contract law, it required a professional to make sure I did everything right, and my tenant had no right to do what he claimed "lawful". Kent suggested me to write the Vacate Letter myself, however, I would rather pay Kent to write and send the letter to resolve the issue "professionally" than save money. The case was resolved peacefully as I wished. I want to express my gratitude for his efforts and time. With his experience and knowledge of the law, I am no longer intimidated by nonsense.

I came to Gerard at a really rough time-- the divorce of a 16-year long marriage (plus 2 years of being together prior) with two kids still school age-- and I was in terrible shape. Gerard was immediately helpful and comforting, with a friendly presence that had me feeling better right away. His experience and knowledge made the process smooth and successful. He is honest and transparent in explaining scheduling, cost, and likely outcomes, and he has great expertise in advising and negotiating. Perhaps most important of all, he is compassionate, which meant a lot to me in the face of the pain I was feeling at one of the roughest moments of my life. Gerard is an excellent communicator who keeps great organized notes, grasping the BIG PICTURE, with attention to details - arriving at a settlement or legal agreement that supports the client's needs. Services including documents and online court submissions with email communication are a real plus to save on physical meetings if the client is living outside of the Bay Area. The office and conference room are very nice. Free parking in the rear is always available and a real plus. Gerard was a fantastic adviser to me with a divorce. I was so relieved to have the calm, structured and supportive mediation and guidance of Gerard while navigating the extremely emotional and unsettling business of Separation and Divorce after a 20 year marriage. He listened so well to our concerns and desires (to be as fair as possible during the split) while also considering & keeping the welfare of our children at the forefront. Don’t hire a pregnant lawyer. I am a mother and I thought her maternal status would mean her understanding. What is actually did was she rushed through my case at the end because it was taking longer than she expected it would and was going to, and might interfere with her taking off for maternity leave as she was planning -instead of having another lawyer at her firm finish the job in a professional mannor. I got screwed over since I was self employed, she didn’t fight for the court to allow me to use my tax deductions (necessary costs of licensing and expenses to run a contacting business) these are allowed/deductables on my tax returns, and so the other attourney not wanting them allowed they increased my income by 40% so as much as the fathers who has no overhead expenses because he is an employee. So she didn’t press for it, the court added back necessary expenses and as a result I was granted only $180. Child support for my 2 young kids. This barely pays for a cell phone, a pair of shoes or any afterschool class for two kids. I referred a friend before my case was finished unfortunately-before knowing how awful a lawyer Erin is... My friends case was won because ge was abusive to their child. Father was ordered by court to pay the lawyers fees. Well my friend had already paid them because it’s required to be pais as you go along. So Levine Law Firm told her their policy is they don’t just give her back her money until After they collect it from the other party! He wasn’t even ordered to pay as much as she was to them-they don’t pay her back even monthly the court fees he’s paying back! He stopped paying and now they told her she has to take him to court again to get him to pay the court ordered lawyers fees (to get her money back from them once payments are completed) Wait- woukdn’t that be their job to collect payment from him themself, abd sue him themself if he didn’t follow the courts order to pay them? They still have not given my friend back her money, even for the part of the total bill they did get payment from the father. Levine Law Firm and Erin Levine are crooks and horrible lawyers working together with Erin.

Erin recommended working with and highlighted one of the most unethical, unprofessional, ineffective, and psychotic family therapists in the Bay Area, Alison Urdan, who is a nightmare to work with, devastating families and children, while carrying out her own profit driven agenda. She manufactures negative characterizations and works to give sole legal custody to fathers, especially in cases involving paternal domestic violence and abuses. Alison is not anything worth trusting your children or family to. Incredibly disappointing to see Erin blindly sell Alison on her website despite numerous attempts to let Erin know of Alison’s consistent history of wrong doing and illegal and unethical conduct.

I had very extenuating circumstances. My divorce included division of a business, complicated further by assets with multiple names on title. Kennedy was really easy to communicate with. He has a way of explaining things "in plain English" that I really appreciated. I always felt well taken care of, and in my opinion, our divorce was processed efficiently and his representation was excellent. The few times we went to Court, Kennedy already knew the clerks and you could tell, he was in his element. I did not get a chance to work with his associate, but she is excellent, I am sure.

I recently wet to court and won my case! I used Koblin Family Law as my Counsel. Friends and Family told me never represent yourself as having a lawyer who deals exclusively with the Law is the only way moving forward when it comes to Life, Property, and children! Cristin Lowe was a great attorney for me, she helped me with my DVRO case that my soon to be ex was trying to file to gain custody of our kids. I came to her in such a mess and she assured me she could take my case and helped but I was still scared. The day of court she coached me before we walked in the court room and before I took the stand. I walked in with my attorney by my side feeling really good. Cristin was very direct and very prepared for the case. She asked the Plaintiff questions that I haven't thought of. Now we're finishing up my divorce, I'm very thankful for her and I thank god I found her. if I can give any advice it would be to get Cristin Lowe as your attorney you will be in GOOD HANDS. After taking my 400.00 as well as talking to an intake secretary who convinced me Lowe could help me, she told me she wouldn’t be able to because I wasn’t prepared for a lawyer yet. I had all my paperwork to show her that I was told to bring. I have never heard of a lawyer turning someone away. I was so impressed with all the videos she has prepared for the public, but upon meeting her I met a completely different person. So sad and disappointing.

Two reviews in one - how about that! The first one is about Cristin, then one for the office as a business itself. Cristin - She loves her job, something I could tell the first time we met or when things got tough and complicated in court. I had a difficult child and divorce case, of which Cristin handled with empathy, acumen, and awesome command of her legal team. In court, she is calm, collected, precise, yet aware of her surroundings. In my case, it might have been that the opposing legal team that was downright horrible at their job, because Cristin stood in stark contrast, showing respect for both parties, the judge, the case, while maintaining her pace. Initially I had thought that she would be expensive (since they're based in San Ramon), but her rate averages with the Bay Area's. Total cost-wise, your mileage may vary of course, but for me, it was worth it, even though I'm stress out monthly about how much I still owe for the entire case. Law of Office of Cristin M. Lowe - Nestled in a Bishop Ranch building, the law office is small, yet adequate. It's open and neither feels unwelcoming or warm. The staff is friendly and knowledgeable. If there was a downside, it's the feedback/communication loop between legal team, staff, and client. Mind you, during my case it was great, but it's the post-case service that suffers. Sometimes I'd call to ask a question and would be told that they'd call me back with answers; in my experience, it's been 65% response rate from the office. The finance/billing department is also another weak spot of the business, which is really why I deducted a star from this review. I'm on monthly auto-pay, but have run into times where I was double-charged, sent "pay now" or "overdue" messages even though I'm supposedly on auto-debit, and have had no alert communication from finance about interest being tacked-on to my outstanding account. Legal services naturally cost an arm and a leg, and the finance department should be on the ball in helping clients feel that they're still in control of their money.

I gave Peter 2 stars before but now I have an update, I believe he is bipolar or take drugs. And watch out with his office staff they are super unpolite (they don't want anyone in there), they act cold and act like mommies reciting a script. AH and the receptionist, calls for the manager who is even worse. When I went to small claim courts I found out that he had not remove the eviction he initiated even when I told him the tenant had already gave me the keys, and I told him in an email and by the phone to remove the eviction. I am not sure, if he did this to create more chaos. or simply because he forgot. In any event, I am still considering suing this attorney for the default judgment that my tenant won, because of his lack of due diligence. Ah, and If you speak English as a second language he will not be kind or courteous. He told me that my English wasn't good enough, ??? I believe that he takes your money and then moves in a way to create more problems so he can continue on the case and when there is no more fight (as it was my case)he leaves you in the cold because there is no opportunity for more money.

I don’t even know where to start here. I came to this law firm from a cheap attorney who was constantly messing up but luckily the person taking me to court had no case so I would win but never because of the attorney. When I was looking for a new firm I had a free consultation with Vanessa and after speaking to many others Vanessa really stood out with compassion and a professional caring attitude. When my court case went to family court months later i immediately thought of this firm. When I called to book Vanessa she was all booked up after some disappointment I was told that there is a whole team here and another attorney was available... Sara Driesen took my case and she was beyond amazing! She was a fighter in court... and my personal therapist haha. I can’t express how important Sara has been to my children and myself and everything we went after we got in court! Far exceeded what I thought was possible. My kids don’t have to deal with the issues they were put through for so long. Sara also helped me come up with payment arrangements when court started to stretch out, not to the fault of Sara but to a compulsive liar we were dealing with in court. I had a great job at a architectural firm and unfortunately the pandemic left me strapped financially Sara was always understanding. Lawyers are expensive and often court stretches longer than expected and you should be prepared for that.... just a tip. I will say that the billing was a bit inconsistent in terms of when I was receiving statements this could be the pandemic and the like and sometimes reading the bill was confusing but after a quick email they did great explaining it and helping me understand what I was looking at. Sara, Molly, Brianna, and daisy are all amazing these ladies are all responsible and great at communicating and I felt like I had an army by my side I love and thank you all! You all helped in more ways than you know. I am forever grateful.

I will start by saying that I never give bad reviews for a restaurant or really any services. I don’t believe in that as you never know what is going on with someone Individually or the owners trying to make a living. Being that this involves my children and other families that may be choosing Vanessa, I am compelled to review. I gave $5,000 and the team blew thru it by reviewing basic items for a divorce/family Case I was ABOUT to embark on. I didn’t even start officially in court. I saw the 5 stars and knew it was $450/hr so I thought “wow she must be good.” It was no different than if I paid $50/hr to a no name. She doesn’t care about the children, I can tell you that. It’s a job to her and wow does she charge for it. I got my small amount of retainer left and moving on. I am one of several that had similar experiences as me with her. Trust your intuition when choosing a lawyer for something as important as your babies. Don’t go by reviews or hourly rate.

If you are looking for an honest, trustworthy, and passionate attorney to represent you, I highly recommend Nancy Martinez. Nancy was my attorney but she is more like my daughter! When I came to Nancy, I was frustrated and overwhelmed with the local county government that was trying to take a Conservatorship over my finances and person and tell me what to do. I repeatedly told the county to shove off but they kept harassing me. When they did file a case against me, I went to Nancy and told Nancy what was happening and how fearful I was about the county meddling into my private affairs. Even though Conservatorships were not her area of practice, she patiently listened to me, consoled and comforted me, and assured me she will do everything possible for me. During the court hearing she was spectacular and was able to deliver the results I wanted. I cannot thank her enough. I hold her in high regard and most of all with deep admiration and affection. I cannot begin to tell you how terrible my experience was with Lisa Mendes. It was my 1st time hiring an attorney and I cried after the case was over and felt so helpless and hopeless. She knew I was vulnerable and didn’t know anything about court or family law. These are people who are supposed to help you fight your case. I lost my case and to make matters worse, there was a conflict of interest with the opposing attorney. Apparently they knew each other. Please make sure you have a good sense of feeling about your attorney before paying them all your savings. MaKe sure all your questions and concerns are answered and not rushed. Are they truly explaining the case to you for you to understand? There’s a lot of legal lingo you won’t know but this should be explained, if you have a good attorney???? Do they really have your best interest at heart? Unfortunately in my case, I was doomed to begin with.

for not even 2 months of work on my case, $22500 in fees. They made is seem like they did so much work and it was such a basic case. Charged for things double triple times, because none of them even knew the status of my case at any time. Even opposing counsel mentioned they had know idea what they were doing especially with billing. Got no retainer back which I thought was illegal?? Also got charged for trust account replenishment which is NOT a bill I thought it was for work not yet done ?? Gave horrible legal advice which would have made a huge difference in my case if I listened to them. So glad i let them go

Montgomery Paisano concluded my divorce for me in MAY2020, during the Covid-19 pandemic. He was responsive and always looking out for me. He recommended changes to the draft Marriage Settlement Agreement, which we accepted, and the Agreement was accepted without comment by the Family Court. Working like that during a pandemic shows commitment. I made a good choice is working with Montgomery.

I am severing ties with peninsula law group montgomery pisano said it would cost $2,500.00, alj. I have to go to sup., alj, misrepresentation bar, state bar, supr. I would like all the files sent to me bar said to go to fee arbitration, remed, was supposed to yong won kim, hamed akhavein correct evf's, 60 and 40 hours. I have had persons reported to patrol services. I filed a police report, evf's to correct were theft and clothes, your responsibility supposed to be corrected wasn't.
