I have interviewed 5+ lawyers in San Jose before coming across Mr. Louie. All other lawyers were focused on how to sell me their business instead of giving the reality perspective of the case. For example, other lawyers were telling me how I will be winning the case, versus, where Mr. Louie was being honest of the situation and variables that will be difficult for the case, providing the strategies how to overcome them. I cannot think of better outcome than what he could have done for me. If you need his services, I highly recommend at least interviewing Mr. Louie.

Christine Louie and Calvin represented me during a child custody and property case. Do not waste your time and money here. They have high hourly rates. Appear to court late and ask for documents the night before. Very unprepared. Different lawyer from their firm appears at the court so keeps changing. The new attorney appearing barely knows what is going on. Not knowledgeable in the custody subject. The bill has charges incorrect. They charge for every minute and second you speak to them.plus add an assitional 20 extra on top. Make sure you check and track the times you talk and reach out to them as they will over charge you if you do not check. They advise you to do something and at court they do not tell the judge they advised you to do so. Beware. They seem nice at first but until they take your money.. Do not hire their services.

Do not take your divorce to this firm. My family has spent a lot of money for my case. And the bills are padded. Outrageous fees to feed this family and on child custody support cases; they are not aggressive or concerned about the spouse and children that have not had received back support payments . Or if they have shelter and or food. Or if they’re power has been shut off.emails at times are not answered in a timely manner and they bill for every email even if is regarding follow up on the same issue. They bill for each text outrageously. I say hey dead beats dads if you want someone o n your side hire these guys.

FABULOUS!!!!! I called the Moreno Family Law firm TWO DAYS before my hearing/trial and Michael Moreno took my case without any hesitation. I had a civil harassment restraining order pending against me that occurred in the workplace and I was so scared to go to court since the last time I went I couldn’t even speak to the Judge without shaking. The Opposing Party was a bully and I was frightened that if I had a restraining order granted against me it would ruin my career forever. Michael Moreno asked that I drop off the paperwork ONE DAY before the trial and he showed up prepared, looked sharp and fought for me like I had been his client for years! The judge did not want to dismiss the restraining order against me and Michael had an intellectual and persuasive response to every position the Judge made. Even when the judge disagreed with him he KEPT FIGHTING FOR ME and making new arguments that slowly started to change the Judge’s mind. Michael didn’t give up until he was able to successfully change the judge’s mind and WE WON!!! The judge dismissed the restraining order against me and I was able to walk away from the court house with NOTHING pending against me. I truly believe that the universe was in my favor when I found The Moreno Family Law firm to help me with this civil harassment restraining order (work place harassment). THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!! I am truly grateful and I would recommend EVERYONE to this firm. Michael Moreno is a TRIAL EXPERT and the staff was helpful and kind. They even called after the hearing to make sure I was happy with the representation I received. INCREDIBLE FIRM. (This was all during COVID shelter in place and they were available to me 24/7).

I hired Audrey Gamble to represent me. However, she was completely unresponsive, except for quips like 'Maybe you can become an attorney after all of this.' I asked her to file documents for me, but she was obsessed with trying to force me to agree to stipulations to appease my husband's high powered attorney and would not work on the aspects of my case that I was interested in. If your interested in competent divorce attorney, do not come to Huey and Gamble, unless you want to be forced into bad stipulations while she doesn't work on your case.

If you have to go through divorce, I strongly advise hiring The Law Offices of Steven Dinneen. The start of a divorce process is very intimidating. I had met with another law firm prior and did not get the same detailed information that would allow me to make the best decisions for my situation. I felt they could not represent me quite like Steven and Kevin could. Hiring Steven and Kevin was a great decision as they helped guide me through this painful process. Everything from correctly filing all the forms with the court, serving papers to my ex-wife and ensuring that my interests were protected under the law. Steven and Kevin told me all of my options and thoroughly explained the benefits and drawbacks of each. I am impressed with the office as it is very clean, organized and has professional knowledgeable staff. I found the best quality law office in San Jose and I plan to stick with them for all my family law matters until my child is 18 years old. I am very grateful of their services. Coming from a terrible attorney who did absolutely nothing for me to Steven was life-changing. Traci is a consummate professional, lawyer and my highly trusted advisor. I've employed her since 2013 for my divorce and since then periodically with questions as they've come up. Without fail she's responsive, and I feel like she's been extremely knowledgeable about divorce and family law. I've had full physical custody of my two boys since my divorce in 2011. They're father moved out of state and although I was willing to work with him on visitation, he felt like I was being unfair. When he served me with custody papers, I was so worried and anxious of what was to come. I have always tried to do what's in the best interest of my boys, but I was worried that maybe he would not be reasonable with what he wanted versus what I was proposing (which is exactly what happened). I spoke with a few attorneys before I found Mello & Pickering. The other attorneys sounded out of touch and cold to my situation, which made me feel even more panicked. I called to set up a consult with Traci Pickering and immediately felt like I was talking to someone who had my boys best interest at heart. She focused on the facts and helped me feel at ease with the whole scenario. I was almost in tears with total relief... Traci made me truly feel like she had my back. Traci decided that her associate Jessica Pellerin would be perfect to help me with my response and in court as we proceeded. Jessica was extremely thorough and really made me feel like she understood my situation. After a failed mediation with my ex, we were set to move forward to JCC. The cost of this was really racking up and with my ex also holding out on child support, I spoke with Jessica (who was soon going on maternity leave) we decided together to have me represent myself. She assured me that she would be there for me if I had any questions. My case was then transferred back to Traci to be on a consulting basis as JCC approached. The day before the JCC, I spoke with Traci and she answered all my questions, coached me on what to expect, and reassured me that I could handle it. I cannot say enough that these women are the best thing that has happened to me since all this drama first began. What an inspiration it is to have extremely professional and strong women help me through this incredibly scary and uncertain process. If you're in need of help these women are the ones to go to! Ladies--Traci Pickering is who you want in your corner. I want through a very much unwanted divorce and Traci was my rock. She made herself available to me whenever I needed her and she was sympathetic but realistic. She told me the truth- the way the legal system actually works, as opposed to how it should work. I was able to mediate an appropriate settlement and move forward with my life. Traci was smart and no-nonsense but still kind and empathetic. I am SO glad I retained her services. She made the worst experience of my life a little bit easier-- I am so glad she was the attorney by my side.

Unfortunately, Nicole scrambled at the last minute to prepare for my big day. I showed up to court, and she failed to submit my statement on time for the judge to go over our case. Even OC from a different county submitted the week before. Then she told me after the botched court date all her revelations, which was not helpful at all after the fact. After an embarrassing train wreck of a court date, I switched to a new lawyer who was able to settle my case swiftly, empathetically, professionally - without having to go back to court. Literally, achieved nothing with Nicole except for negatively impacting my case. It's a shame that I threw away so much money that could have gone towards my kid when we could have settled out of court.

I worked with Jim Hoover and his team for over 2 years. At first I felt very well represented. I ended up settling with my ex of an 18 yr marriage for 1/2 of what he made in one year. The Hoover team billed me 1/4 of that amount. My Jr attorney suddenly left the firm with no parting words, I received a letter. I was assigned a new attorney and was billed even more. I tried to stop the litigation because of the fees, but Hoover team would not respond and kept litigation going. When I tried to hire a new attorney, I was warned by many in the field that Hoover's team has this reputation.

I worked with Emile Nijmeh on a complex and chaotic child custody case. I first met Attorney Nathan through a previous firm and I felt confident with him, when I felt my case was not being handle properly I went to Nathan to continue my case. I have been working with Nathan LaMotte since February to obtain a prenuptial agreement. He has been extremely professional, really easy to work with and despite covid restrictons, a great communicator. I very much recommend him (and in fact already have).
