Highly DO NOT RECOMMEND. This law firm has a very high turn over rate and you’ll get shifted from one attorney to the next (which you’ll then have to pay $$$ for another attorney to get familiar with your case). If you need an aggressive attorney, I do not recommend Ellen Ball. She will do what she wants with your case, even if you directly tell her in writing that you don’t agree/want to go that route. She will do the bare minimum and is definitely not a shark. You need an attorney you can trust to advocate for you and your family...she is NOT it. Don’t make the same mistake I did.

The outcome of my divorce was mostly determined by me with negotiations with my former spouse so for litigation, I have no review. My issue was attention to detail. My financial affidavit was incorrect when returned to me, even though I provided the correct information, then I was charged the time it took them to revise the affidavit. Once I made an offer for my attorney to provide to opposing counsel, the offer sent did not have all the the details I requested and when my attorney sent opposing counsel the amendment, I was charged for the additional time for his mistake. My attorney told me that opposing counsel was going to schedule the hearing to get the divorce finalized, then his staff sent me a date for me to attend. When I responded with his previous email stating opposing counsel was to schedule and attend the hearing he apparently forgot about it and never mentioned it to opposing counsel as I had to remind them I was never informed of a date. Finally, after the hearing was completed I had to request my final documentation because they did not follow up to provide me with that until I reminded them. The cost was substantial for the service and poor quality. Once your case is complete they will send you an additional bill to close out your file. The firm might be effective if they were genuinely as concerned for their client as they are for their charges. I would not recommend this firm. For what you will pay, I believe there is better counsel.

When I first spoke to David I was in the middle of 2 paternity case that a previous attorney could not maintain. Paola Parra Harris in deed is a good and knowledgeable attorney when hired her for a simple divorce. The rating of 2 is for the handling of my case. She was hired for a simple divorce that took nearly a year to resolve. I was very patient in finalizing my divorce, despite the staff turnover, misuse of my money , and not providing updates on the case. She transferred my case to another attorney (PJ) several weeks prior to my medication after additional money was requested. PJ failed to due diligence, understand, communication and to accomplish client's goals. She had absolutely no knowledge of my case prior to mediation. Communication with a client is the cornerstone of the client/attorney relationship. The divorce was done poorly , She didn't use the best practice in communicating/ preparation . Paola failed to resolve this issue prior to reaching out to Tallahassee for help. I writing this reviewing in hoping it help some innocent person that good lawyers can also make a mistake by transferring their cases to other attorneys that may not be prepared to handle. I can’t say enough times how thankful I am for Parra Harris Law helping me with my divorce. I needed someone on my side.
