I have been working with Jennifer Todd and her Paralegal Julie for well over a year now in a very drawn out custody battle with my ex husband. Although the case is still open, I can say with confidence, that both Jennifer and Julie have done a spectacular job. They are professional, courteous, and ensure to provide an unbiased view of the law to their clients. They will ensure to educate on the process as you go as well as set realistic expectations, unlike some attorneys who feed their clients lines of fluff. Jennifer has also been great at keeping costs as low as possible and the office has been great at working out payment arrangements. I had the best experience with Marie and Nina. I ended up in a car accident where I truly thought there was no way to get justice for me and my injuries due to: an unlicensed, underage driver driving a rental car by a company about to go bankrupt. Plus, the accident involved: totaled cars, us about to leave the country - wow that's a handful. But, Marie and Nina reassured us, checked in with us constantly, and helped us through this complicated process in a super short amount of time. These two are highly competent attorneys. Wouldn't go to anyone else.

Marie is an exceptional human being, and the greatest lawyer you will ever find. When our house flooded over two years ago, we didn’t know what to do. Our house was destroyed, insurance denied our claim, my newborn baby was ill from the water/mold damage, and I was lost. It was such a dark time. I didn’t know where to go, what to do, or who to talk to. All I knew is that I needed to leave my home to keep my child in a safe environment, and that my house needed to be completely gutted and rebuilt. But where to begin? How could I afford it? Why wasn’t insurance doing what I paid for? I didn’t know how to answer ANY of those questions. Marie was like a knight in shining legal armor. At no upfront cost, she not only went to bat for me against my homeowner’s insurance, but she also helped me navigate where to go, who to talk to, and in what order to start tackling the demolition/reconstruction of my house. She was there with my family every step of the way. She communicated, even if there was nothing to say. She got angry with me, she got angry FOR me. She fought for us where we couldn’t, and NEVER gave up. It wasn’t easy and it was a very long road, but Marie knew our worth. Tia was invaluable in helping us through a difficult time. After we were in a car accident and suffered some injuries, we didn’t know how to proceed with getting the medical bills paid. We were dealing with body aches, doctors, medical bills, and the overwhelming emotions all at the same time. Tia was wonderful! She was so responsive, and we really felt that she had our best interests at heart. During meditation she battled on our behalf with the judge and insurance company and in the end she got us more money then we would have if we didn’t hire her. Steve is an amazing attorney. We hired him for my daughter in the Tampa area. He got the injunctions and divorce processed quickly and was there for every step of the dependency. He saw through all of the legal mumbo jumbo and where Hillsboro has the largest amount of children in the system, moved our case like Lightning Speed. Sparkman and Sparkman Law firm has been of great help through my divorce these past few months. I hired her after a year of me trying to do everything on my own. She picked right up where I was lost and was up front with me about how much I would need to pay and told me straight up what type of case I was up against. She helped me negotiate an awesome deal with my ex husband regarding child sharing so I wouldn't have to go through a lengthy trial. She is EXTREMELY knowledgeable about the law. She is also knowledgeable about Islamic marriages and Islamic contracts, which is what I needed to be deciphered. She was also very helpful with knowing information regarding divorce and the military. Today was the day of victory to my son and I. Words will not describe what Mrs. Sparkman did to handle this case. From the bottom of my heart I advise every parent that care for there children to hire this firm. It took 6 years because it was a long case but since day 1 Mrs. Sparkman worked on this case in the same quality, high value, professional, responsive and many to add. She taught me how to deal and be patient. With all the false accusations that the other party presented,Mrs. Shazia never gave up, she texted me at midnight, she replied 24/7. She even cried when I cried. I would never believe a lawyer will worry about their clients this way. I have evidence and facts to show anyone who is interested. I waited to post this review 6 years. I was complaining sometimes about how expensive it is to wait this long to get primary custody but now I regret and I don't know how to pay Mrs. Sparkman back for what she did. You will never know what the person is worth until you need there help. She never used false facts. She was directly to the point. She made sense in every motion she filed. In every advise she gave me. I can now even take cases at the court ???? and advise people from how much I learned from her. He was upfront, consistent and completely honest in terms of expectations. About 3 months late with this review but after being swindled out of 2,500$ and almost a year of my time I feel as though it’s necessary to warn others. My experience with this law group spans about 8-9 months in which the only work produced was a a single exchange of paper work between myself and the personnel assigned to my case. After 3 months after emailing the paper worked needed pertaining to my case I received no update as to the status of my case or if anything was in the works. Due to the Corona virus impacting business I gave them the benefit of the doubt and waited. Around the 8 month mark I called only to be told the paperwork I had returned was filed with the court 2 months after being sent without anything being done. I did the only rational thing anyone could try to do after waiting 9 months and asked for a refund due to the horrible neglect of my case, the response was a slap in the face, “we don’t offer refunds as stated in the agreement however we can forward you to our financial department”, to no surprise I never even got contacted by the financial department. I’m not a wealthy man just an ordinary guy who reached out to this company In hopes of being able to be granted some form of parental rights over my daughter so I could see her and let her know she still has a father. Almost a year of time/$2500 wasted in waiting for this law firm to do something. Please go with someone else, I did my research however that wasn’t enough.

I called the Maney Family Law office and I spoke to Hannah, they were about to get me in the same day for a meeting. I explained to Paul and Hannah what was going on and they listened and took in everything I was saying. Paul, Hannah and Kyrsten were great, all three listened and made me feel heard. I am so grateful, when I called they answered every question I had and talked me through the whole process. Being in a different state was hard to get together for face to faces but they handled everything with the utmost professionalism. When it came to mediation I didn't have anything to worry about, they walked in and got the job done. To be completely honest, the worse experience I have ever had. I only spoke to Paul ONCE! Every time I would call, Krysten and Hannah would say “he will give you a call before the end of the day”, they made promises all the time. I never received a call. Never received an update. The fact that I had to be the one to contact them to receive updates was ridiculous. The communication was terrible. The second time I spoke to Paul was when I decided to terminate / withdraw. Krysten mentioned that it was a “waiting game”. Who wants to hear this after making a payment over a month ago and still not receiving a call with an update when you literally have mediation in 3 weeks. Never requested paperwork, was never asked what my concerns were, what my expectations were for my case. Imean it was the worse experience ever. The only thing that I would give him five stars for, would be the fact that I received a full refund of what I paid, UP FRONT. After he received payment, I reached out a total of 8 times and from those 8 times the only call I received in return was the one to confirm my withdrawal. Keep in mind I sent plenty of emails to everyone in the practice. I was also told I would receive an email with paperwork that needed to be filed out, krysten never sent it over. I hired Paul to take stress away from me, technically that’s what they are being paid for, instead they made it worse and difficult for me being that I had to last minute shop for another lawyer whose communication is 100000000x better than the experience I had with Paul’s team. I do not recommend. Unless you are someone who doesn’t care to hear back from someone that you paid a certain amount STARTING. If you want to have last minute offers, then go for it. Advise that I would recommend would be to communicate or acknowledge the customer. I understand Paul is extremely busy, however his assistants need to be more engaged with the customers needs.

I was introduced to Paul by a friend after posting on social media that I was looking for a reputable divorce attorney in Tampa. I have met with many attorneys by that time and just couldn't connect with them on a gut level until a met Paul. He was very knowledgeable not only about divorce but other Family law related issues. He even presented the collaborative divorce option which none of the other attorneys did. If you're getting divorced, interview at least 3 attorneys and go with your gut.
