I hired them to take care of my divorce. They would not let me come into their building because of Covid-19. Other professionals will as long as you where a mask. Roy would only talk to me through emails and phone. The phone did not work you could not have a conference call that you could hear, so phone calls were worthless even though you were being billed for each one at a high price. How could I get anything done? Roy seemed to be protecting himself in his emails. when I talked to him he did not explain the legal jargon, he seemed to talk around things taking care to cover himself in what he said. I would have to go to other friends who were in law and ask them what he was talking about. I asked him specifically "What should I ask for this in the divorce?" Still he would give me a general answer with not much to say. I Don't feel like I got any good counsel from him. He would talk over me and I would talk over him trying to make our point to each other which they where not that big of deal to begin with. When the retainer ran out he fired me as a client and I was very thankful that he did. The retainer mostly went to worthless emails and unclear phone calls. Very, very unprofessional. I wanted out anyway, I don't know if it was because I was a woman but I felt he would push me around. Maybe he does better with men, it was not a good experience.at any rate.

I tried scheduling a consultation with them, but I could not hear them very well and when I said I could barely hear them too well, the receptionist hung up on me rudely. I do not wish this service on anyone. Good luck on whoever calls them. Hopefully you look at this review and think twice before calling... because the receptionist really blew my mind with how low quality of a service he gave me.

Best decision I ever made was hiring Mr. Smith to represent me in my custody case. He is the third attorney I have retained for this matter and I can't say enough good things about him. Mr. Smith has accomplished more in my case in 60 days then my previous counsel did in a year. He communicates impressively timely, is extremely knowledgeable, and most importantly fights for his clients. In addition, he is very honest and realistic about the matter at hand. Bottom line, if you need an amazing attorney, and you don't hire Mr. Smith, you made a mistake.

I have no words to express my level of satisfaction with Emily. From the very beginning she was extremely Professional and compassionate. I just went through one of the hardest moments of my life. A divorce with children. Emily understood my case perfectly, was always very responsive and had no problems answering any of my 5 million questions. She was professional and honest. She always let me know what was happening, what to expect and provided me with realistic expectations of what the possible outcomes could be. Mr. Troum and the entire staff at Troum Law Firm have been absolutely amazing. I have been consistently working with Mr. Troum for the last 8 years. He helped me get through a very nasty and drawn out divorce proceeding, a custody arrangement for relocation to another state, then followed by 6 years of contempt and other litigations for violations of orders, non payment of amounts due, and other criminal proceedings that were needed in this case. Although it has been an extremely long process, at no point did I ever feel that Mr. Troum and his team ever missed an opportunity or honestly could have done better. They worked long and hard, were always available to help me understand all of the options available, and Mr. Troum was always aggressive as I needed him to be to ultimately get what was rightfully owed. In the end, the final result for me was better than I ever could have imagined. I would a million times over recommend The Troum Law Firm to anyone who is in the position of needing an attorney. Although my case ultimately was dismissed and moved to Georgia I can not say enough nice things about Mr. Troum and his staff, especially Julie, the firm manager. From the very beginning he and his staff were very transparent and their communication and advocacy for me, their client was phenomenal. Only now that I have had to seek further representation by another office in another state have I been able to compare their practice to another. Chris Melendez is basically a sloth. This guy is a straight clown show. Couldn’t get his life together, understand the details, or do the work required to get my attorney the required documents in a timely manner. Waited 7 months for a financial affidavit, waited 2 weeks for a signature on a final agreement, and literally almost ran directly into trial because it took this guy two years to get his life in order. This is the epitome of taking your time and maximizing income for the firm over clients needs. Literally impossible to work with, and a waste of time. IF THIS GUY PASSED THE BAR EXAM, ANYONE CAN. GO TO LAW SCHOOL EVERYBODY!

He was able to answer ANY and all questions that I threw at him. I started the process of an annulment on the 13th of April and it was finalized on the 26th of May! ???????????????????????????? Attorney Joseph Baker gave me some very insightful advice and recommendations. I really liked his professionalism and his ability to be understanding and courteous to my issues at hand. He gives free consultations, which to me is utterly important and was willing to see me face to face. Even during these trying times, Joseph wants to meet his clients in person. Kudos for that! His retention price is very reasonable and affordable compared to many other attorneys out there. Joseph also has high reviews on AVVO and in google reviews. He introduced himself at the start and is extremely polite. He was not condescending at all, nor did he try to throw out there any titles of where he went to law school. This attorney is one of the best. You could never ask for a person who has a more caring heart and knowledgeable then Debra. My case was very complicated and I had a few attorney's before Debra. It was my mistake for not going to her at the beginning. When I meet Debra the first thing that impress me was she was taking notes while I was telling her about my case. I will be forever greatful with Attorney Ferwerda. I reached out to her two years ago but at the time I was unable to retain her, two years later I was deployed and going through a rough custody battle. Not being able to have someone to trust that will take your case and do what they are supposed to do is hard especially when you are in a position like mine. When Natalie took my husband’s immigration case, it was at a crucial point in the process. Strapped for cash, we originally submitted application forms and documents on our own. My husband was also skeptical about lawyers because he had been burnt by one before. We had 30 days to prove eligibility for an unlawful presence waiver because the information we submitted did not adequately satisfy the grounds for the law. Natalie advised we had a good case which, if not properly presented, could easily be denied. From day one, she demonstrated her professionalism through thorough concise analysis of our case. Natalie spoke with us in easily understood language, explaining all the information/documents she would need to build our case. She set deadlines and made sure we stuck to them. Not only did she do her magic but she also reasonably designed a payment plan that we could afford. At the end of the 30 days, our documents were submitted, we were provided copies of all documents submitted along with a summary of her arguments. We were granted the waiver and Natalie kept in touch with us throughout the process. I would recommend this lawyer to all those individuals who are searching for a compassionate professional who is meticulous in the work she does.
