Warning! All my brother and sister veterans to steer clear of this firm. Any other lawfirm in this town has more Competence and integrity than this one. Beware of Attorneys who take your money before you discuss your case and not even credit your bill. This is the first of many tricks they have to milk as much money out of you as they can.

It would not be overstating the excellent customer service provided by Lafayette Law Office. Renee Lafayette has represented my family in 2 adoptions. We had 2 weeks notice for each adoption, and Renee coordinated every aspect of the adoption process. She was caring, thorough and wonderful. More recently, Bryan Jones represented my wife in a misdemeanor case which could have resulted in jail time (!) He was thorough and knowledgeable and his professionalism and skill resulted in an excellent outcome for our case. Renee Lafayette also made our wills and a power of attorneys documents. We are not exaggerating...and we cannot overstate how grateful our family is that we have such capable representation that we can call on when we need them. Lafayette Law Office is our lawyer for life and they should be yours too.

I honestly do not know what I would have done without the entire staff. Everyone in this office has maintained exceptional professionalism while representing me. Renee Lafayette is the best lawyer in town! Her knowledge of law alone is remarkable and along with her understanding of how emotional any court proceeding can be for every individual is comforting. Her staff is always courteous. They are thorough in their work, job performance is exemplary and always respond promptly. Their fees are reasonable and fair, however, their performance by far out weighs the cost.

I was married for 20 years in a seemingly “happy” marriage when my wife suddenly wanted a divorce. Needless to say, I was blindsided and did not know where to begin. I consulted with two very good friends of mine who both work at the Annapolis courthouse and they referred me to Marla Zide. When I went to Marla’s law office for a consultation, that’s when I was introduced to Lisa Windsor. Lisa was very professional and personable and made me feel at ease right from the get-go. Lisa was very attentive, listened to all of my concerns and did not marginalize anything. Long story short, through Lisa’s diligent work, she helped to prevent my wife’s lawyer from taking me to the cleaners. The day of my divorce hearing, Marla had to represent me for Lisa had a prior engagement. That’s when I first met Marla and it strangely felt like I’ve known her all of my life. As much as I never want to have to see Todd again, I will never use another lawyer ever. Extremely personable and will work to get you the best outcome possible. Hiring Todd was a great decision! My case was not a cake walk for him, I was a father of 3 going thru a complicated divorce during Covid-19. I had a lot of divorce questions in general and Covid made things more difficult to move thru the legal system (took an additional 7 months to complete my divorce), despite that he adapted and never missed a beat. Todd used facts and his extensive experience to explain to me possible outcomes at every stage, both good and bad. He did not lie or say things to make me feel good, he said things that made me feel confident I had hired the right person. While you cannot control the outcome of a court decision I am convinced Todd is 1000% the reason I am very satisfied with my outcome; he exceeded my expectations. The support Stacy provided Todd by making sure I had all the needed paperwork and court dates was extremely appreciated. I cannot say thank you enough or express enough gratitude for what Todd did for me and my children. Thank you Todd!

I hired Todd Mohink to represent me when my ex-wife sued me for more child support after my paycheck was already garnished for over 10 years. After paying $3500.00 for his services, all he did was want more money after my ex-wife was writing him emails and charging me $500.00 per email response to each email. That $3500.00 I paid was for him to say one word in front of the judge in Annapolis which was "present". Needless to say I ended up having to pay twice the amount of child support at $2500.00 per month. Do not hire this guy for divorce related matters...it's wasted money.

The BEST Attorney Any Client Could Hope For I was extremely satisfied with the representation I received from Randall Herriott. I was going through a very difficult child support/custody case and I hired Randy several months into my case after realizing my first attorney was not getting the job done. During my initial consultation, Randy was both professional and very knowledgeable about family law. My daughter’s father is self-employed and was not being honest about his income. Randy went above and beyond to obtain his true income and I was able to get sole physical custody and more money than I expected for child support for my daughter. Randy took on my case with one day to prepare before the hearing. He hit the ground running and was up to speed on even small details necessary to make our case a slam dunk for the sitting judge. I was very impressed with how quickly he honed in on the important details in a long, complicated history with the opposing party. He was also a crack-shot at cross-examining a witness who has been described by professionals as a "master manipulator." Her tactics at misinformation and creating confusion were completely thwarted by Randy's pointed and relevant questions. He was also great at guiding me through my own testimony, keeping me on track to ensure the court was presented with a clear and honest assessment of the situation. I was so relieved to have him in my corner.

Mr. Stevens was recommended to me five years ago. After my consultation we determined that representation was not needed at that time. I contacted Mr. Burton in regards to a custody case. When I spoke to Mr burton on the phone everything sounded perfect, he said he would email me over a contract to sign and for me to pay the retainer fee through a online portal. Everything went as expected until it was time for payment. I went to pay the retainer fee however the portal added an additional $60 onto the fee I was already paying. My husband and I had already wasted money with another attorney and was not looking to pay any additional fees what so ever no matter how small. I tried to call Mr. Burton to ask if we could drop the money off to his office, but after the initial conversation I could not get in contacted with Mr Burton at all. I tried emailing, calling his office and left multiple text messages on his personal phone but to no avail. I am highly disappointed because initially speaking with Mr Burton I was excited to have him on our side. Now I’m thinking it was a good idea that he ghosted us because I would not like to work with an attorney who does not see or take his clients or potential clients matters seriously. I understand Mr. Burton may be a busy man, however it takes little to no effort to respond to a text message or even send a quick email.

Completely unresponsive for months. I paid upfront, kept receiving invoices, and couldn't get a reply to basic questions. I had a cut and dry divorce case with an agreement in place and couldn't get him to file it for months. Terrible service and value.
