I contacted Mr. Burton in regards to a custody case. When I spoke to Mr burton on the phone everything sounded perfect, he said he would email me over a contract to sign and for me to pay the retainer fee through a online portal. Everything went as expected until it was time for payment. I went to pay the retainer fee however the portal added an additional $60 onto the fee I was already paying. My husband and I had already wasted money with another attorney and was not looking to pay any additional fees what so ever no matter how small. I tried to call Mr. Burton to ask if we could drop the money off to his office, but after the initial conversation I could not get in contacted with Mr Burton at all. I tried emailing, calling his office and left multiple text messages on his personal phone but to no avail. I am highly disappointed because initially speaking with Mr Burton I was excited to have him on our side. Now I’m thinking it was a good idea that he ghosted us because I would not like to work with an attorney who does not see or take his clients or potential clients matters seriously. I understand Mr. Burton may be a busy man, however it takes little to no effort to respond to a text message or even send a quick email.

Completely unresponsive for months. I paid upfront, kept receiving invoices, and couldn't get a reply to basic questions. I had a cut and dry divorce case with an agreement in place and couldn't get him to file it for months. Terrible service and value.

The BEST Attorney Any Client Could Hope For I was extremely satisfied with the representation I received from Randall Herriott. I was going through a very difficult child support/custody case and I hired Randy several months into my case after realizing my first attorney was not getting the job done. Randy took on my case with one day to prepare before the hearing. He hit the ground running and was up to speed on even small details necessary to make our case a slam dunk for the sitting judge. I was very impressed with how quickly he honed in on the important details in a long, complicated history with the opposing party. He was also a crack-shot at cross-examining a witness who has been described by professionals as a "master manipulator." Her tactics at misinformation and creating confusion were completely thwarted by Randy's pointed and relevant questions. He was also great at guiding me through my own testimony, keeping me on track to ensure the court was presented with a clear and honest assessment of the situation. Having Ms. Otieno represent me was truly a gift from God. She represented me for a little over 18 months and, made my first (and, prayerfully my only) experience (with court) so special. It would not be overstating the excellent customer service provided by Lafayette Law Office. Renee Lafayette has represented my family in 2 adoptions. We had 2 weeks notice for each adoption, and Renee coordinated every aspect of the adoption process. She was caring, thorough and wonderful. More recently, Bryan Jones represented my wife in a misdemeanor case which could have resulted in jail time (!) He was thorough and knowledgeable and his professionalism and skill resulted in an excellent outcome for our case. Renee Lafayette also made our wills and a power of attorneys documents.
