I read reviews before calling and they were pretty good, so I called and spoke with a receptionist to discuss setting up a consultation. She told me from our conversation (we talked on a Friday) that someone would call me by the following Monday. Well...that never happened. In fact, 2 weeks passed and I decided to reach out to them via email about my concern. I got no response from the either. I was just added to a list serv and inundated with solicitous emails. I concur with one of the reviewers here that said they never got a return call. The owner implied they were not being honest. Well, I for one am NOT being dishonest. Hired on retainer for an agreed amount of $1500 to assist with custody/child support. He not only missed court dates but did nothing for the case and instead of helping to reduce the monthly payments, he unraveled all of the progress made before ever being advised to get legal representation. He ended up overcharging an extra $100 and would not respond when a refund was requested. Apparently if you pass the bar exam in Tennessee you have a legal right to rob those who are in need of assistance because they are struggling with financial hardship. Absolutely disgraceful. It makes me want to go to law school just to seek justice for people wronged by lawyers like these.

In my opinion this is the worst family lawyer in America. David waldrop will take your money and not communicate with you at all. I hired this man to help me with a custody issue with my daughter and he was more concerned with going on vacations and remodeling his home after it flooded. I had fired him almost a year ago since I live in Florida and my daughter in Tennessee but had no other choice at the time to rehire him since he has all the information about the case. He is a coward and allowed my ex-wife to go past the allotted time to file a response to my motion.Once my ex-wife filed a response he backed out of our agreement and stated that my attitude was the reason for him no longer wanting to represent me. He did so because she had hired a better lawyer and he was afraid to stand up to that law office. I had to threaten to contact the states office and file a complaint with the Tennessee bar association because he would not return emails nor phone calls and was never in is office and his secretary always left the office for the day at noon. He definitely isn't a lawyer that will hep any dad nor a Veteran. He will take your money little or big and do nothing for you. If you are a Father in need of help DO NOT hire this law firm for help. you will loose your money and get no where with fighting for you kids! These are my opinions and my experience with this law firm.

When I came to Mr. Waldrop, I was on my last option. I had been separated for a year, couldn't find an attorney that I could afford and Mr. Waldrop took my case on for less than his very affordable retainer fee. Mr. Mason took my grandson case that was a loser and didn’t think there was anyway to get him out of being charged. I was hoping to keep him from going to jail because he was caught with 1/2 ounce of weed. My grandson has a medical card in Arkansas to have that much but Tennessee doesn’t except that normally. Mr. Mason was unbelievable and talked the prosecutor into dismissing the charges with a small fine if he doesn’t get caught again in 1 year. My friend is in the army currently deployed and needed help with a custody/pay situation within the military. We were quoted a price totally different from what was actually given and was denied help because these people assumed that he was “wringing” the army. First of all, why would you make such a bold assumption that my friend is just trying to get out of a simple deployment? You don’t know his life, his circumstance or his chain of command. Secondly, my friend is getting underpaid by the army because of this situation and all he is trying to do is get this taken care of so that he can have a place for his child to live so that she can be in his life more. He’s an amazing father and all he needed was some help. The audacity is really blowing my mind. I wouldn’t recommend this law firm to anyone at all ever. Just disgusting.

My wife hired Mr. Potter to represent her during our divorce. Mr. Potter told me this was like tennis, back and forth. He told me keep calling our daughter even though my wife was saying everything goes through my lawyer- just got hit with a temporary order of protection. Mr. Potter told me he's just a hired gun, it's not personal. I'm not sure if he has kids or not, but it's always personal when it concerns your children. I find this man to just be another typical money first lawyer. And I want everyone to know that this guy lied to me over the phone, treated me poorly telling me he had more important calls to make.
