I searched for over a year for a divorce attorney that I felt comfortable enough to take my case and who's retainer was not $8000! I felt at ease instantly the moment I spoke with Jennifer at our first consultation. I expressed every concern I had and Jennifer listened patiently to every word and concern to help me come up with a game plan. It is evident through my experience of working with Jennifer that she has genuine compassion and concern for her clients and is not driven by a dollar bill. She was strategic in putting together the initial documents to serve my ex- husband to help mitigate any initial volatility that I was expecting on his end once served. Jennifer was a true advocate of trying to handle things through mediation as best as possible so we could avoid an expensive trial. Much to my surprise, my ex and I were able to come up with an agreement and our divorce was settled in about 4 months without a trial! Jennifer and her team did an amazing job on protecting my assets and interests. NO B.S. FROM THESE GUYS!! George C. Ruiz is a no games attorney. This guy does not sugar coat anything he is straight forward and up front. He may not be for everyone but he was an attorney made just for me. He handles business and I can tell he is not here to make friends he gets things done. He is the most responsive attorney and his paralegal Candy works in the same manner. They both worked hard to spend my money in an effective manner and get my case finished with a great result. Candy worked hard not letting me ramble and spend money wasting time on things that weren't important at the time. It was a really great experience. They work perfectly together. I know from our consult when he told me up front all the mistakes I was making and that I needed to pull it together that he was my guy. He didn't just tell me what I wanted to hear and this continued thought out my case. If I was wrong he let me know. Candy kept me informed all along the way through phone calls, emails, text and the client portal they have. I was able to have live information. These guys are a reality check type experience and its great for people with hard cases. I WILL NEVER USE ANY OTHER TEAM!!

I have not hired but this review is based on his response time, honesty and character. I have called twice regarding 2 seperate legal actions in which his response was straight to the point and honest. He called me as soon as he could the same day and asked what I was looking for. He didn't give me any promises and told me the cons and pros to pursuing action. Since he told the downside of both inquiries, I didn't go forth hiring him because it would have been a low chance of not being in my favor. With that being said, he didn't take my money making a promise to me and he left me knowing if I do have any other future needs for an attorney, I can hire him with ease. Thank you sir for your kindness and honesty.

I had a child support issues, a few tickets and I felt defeated. Ms. Roberson took the time to explain what was going on and make sure there was a game plan. My cases started before Covid-19 and due to courts being closed it feels like the cases took forever. However she was able to get all warrants cleared and set up payment plans with the courts. All I had to do was listen to her instructions. I recommend Ms. Roberson and if I ever need an attorney again.... SHE IS MY GO TO!

I had the worst experience with this law firm. They are responsive but don’t tell you your being charged for the slightest thing. Example, email response as simple as a question, I was charged the hourly rate of almost $50. Be ready spend mad money. I dropped Mrs. Roberson because my bill was close to $5000 and nothing had been done. (edited today after I posted earlier) And now I get a phone call from the head partner, am I getting charged for that too.? Ain’t funny when you have nothing to lose and a weight is lifted. Thanks for taking money I could have placed elsewhere Jaclyn.

My case has been a complete and total nightmare. The only thing which has made the last year of my life bearable is the diligent and dedicated work of this firm, specifically, Lisa, Kay and Jessica. My divorce is still on going and I have not been able to see my children in over a year, as their mother took them and fled to California. These wonderful women have communicated and cooperated with my California council to ensure I am getting the best representation both in Texas and California. Kay calls on the weekends to check to see if I have heard from my kids. Jessica is always available when I have questions. Lisa has been a staunch representative of both my rights and the rights of my children. I cannot say how thankful I am for the effort and consideration provided me by this firm. I would hate to see anyone go through what I have, but if they do, I would tell them there is no one who can take better care of them than Lisa, Kay, and Jessica.

From the first day we spoke with Lisa Vance and her office we have felt like we were going to be well taken care of. Lisa is a great listener, she is compassionate, and she is assertive. She has many years of experience in family law and her dedication to thoroughly advocating for her clients is comforting. She has the strong support of her staff and many colleagues to collaborate with in all areas. Any and all questions are answered in a timely fashion. We know that when we step into court with Lisa at our side we are in good hands and we can count on her protection. Update: 07/20/2021. Nine months later, and close to $50,000 less in our life savings, nothing changed. A recommended friend that Lisa Vance strongly encouraged the to court use , Dr Dina Trevino, totally fell short of her time and visits on our behalf and wrote a horrible report against us and greatly encouraged others to do the same once her report came out. Up until that point we were “excellent” Caregivers for our grandchildren. No, we are not angry and bitter, just feel you should know the truth as we experienced it. Even Lisa Vance herself turned on us in the end with ugly words stating we would not be a part of our grandchildren’s life if we did not continue to keep her on and fight the endless ugly battle. It’s so horribly ugly in the courts, if you are looking for an Attorney, best of luck to you. The court system is severely broken. May God Bless our children, May He protect those that cannot protect themselves.

Miss Whitley dug me out of hole and was able to get a previously horrible lawyer off of the case. She acted quickly to reverse what was turning into a very bad outcome. In the end the truth was revealed, and my ex realized he would not get away with lying in court with my current lawyer.

Oh they gave a convincing song and dance in the beginning. They made me feel like it would be quick and easy. After a year and THOUSANDS of dollars, my relationship with my teenage daughter is ruined. Mrs. Whitley and her firm never advocated for me. Her paralegals take WEEKS to reply to any questions. If you're lucky enough to get a reply, you will be nickeled and dimed for every call, text, and email. Two of my friends and I ended up firing her. I only wish I had fired her sooner. After reading the other negative reviews, it sounds like this is common practice for the Whitley firm. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Called explained my case. Open and shut with breach of contract by lease agreement. Lady who i was speaking was completely negative saying we don't take cases like this can't help you. Must pay 750, and not sure if we can recover it in judgment. Completely negative. Wouldn't want them representing me in court.

James Meyrat was very professional and courteous handling a family matter for me. My wife’s attorney pulled the wool over my eyes and talked me in to signing a document I didn’t fully understand. James was able to file an appeal and have the document reversed on my behalf. I highly recommend his services to anyone going through separation or divorce. Hire an attorney before hand. Don’t sign anything you don’t fully understand!

James was so helpful and generous with his time. We retained Wilson Brown PLLC for a step-parent adoption case where the other party(biological father) resided in another state . When we first spoke to Eric he felt confident in our case. Eric , Dawn and the rest of the staff were very knowledgeable and professional throughout the case. Calls and emails were answered or returned immediately .
