Honestly this is the worst experience I’ve ever had. Truly after one thing money. When I called initially I was told one price which I get it fluctuates but to receive an extra $1,600 bill on top with not even a hey your divorce has been completed. This process has been going on since 12/2/20 I still don’t even get a response weather my divorce has been finalized. Upon the receipt of the bill I was told to contact before a certain day which I did. Multiple emails and calls to the office I just get a “they will call you back”. I don’t know what to do anymore , or how else to reach someone there. I understand that my case isn’t important but I mean Im still paying for a service with no status. Alex Salazar is a good guy but honestly communication is really bad, seems like my case gets pushed to the side and worked on when it’s convenient to them. His paralegal Stacy completely horrible at communicating. Will not return emails nor phone calls. I know nobody will look at this but I just want to share my experience. Hopefully this could help others.

I just went through a very difficult and lengthy legal battle and very very fortunate to have Alex Salazar and his assistant Stacy from the Benke Law firm as my Legal team. Alex inherited my account from another attorney, but jumped right in, was very patient with me and financially very fair with me taking the time to learn my case. It has been a lengthy case but he was stellar and helping resolve most of it out of court and minimize the time in front of a judge, and saved me a lot of time in quite a bit of money! He kept me informed of everything I need to know, he was very prepared with opposing counsel and the judge and I was very impressed with how he handled my case and represented me in court! We consulted with Margaret in March 2019 to represent my sister for her divorce. From the moment we met Margaret, we knew we had the right person in our corner. Her knowledge and caring demeanor made a very ugly situation as painless as possible. During the entire process, Margaret kept us informed of what was going on and was readily available for any questions. She fought hard for my sister and the outcome was more than favorable. In October of 2020, following the death of my sister's son-in-law and unforeseen death of her daughter to Covid-19, we had to retain Margaret's services to handle the adoption of my sister's grandson. I cannot give enough praise to Margaret. I had hired another attorney in the beginning who was basically going to railroad me. She took a large amount of money and was going to do the least amount of work she could get away with. We retained Wilson Brown PLLC for a step-parent adoption case where the other party(biological father) resided in another state . When we first spoke to Eric he felt confident in our case. I had a child support issues, a few tickets and I felt defeated. Ms. Roberson took the time to explain what was going on and make sure there was a game plan. My cases started before Covid-19 and due to courts being closed it feels like the cases took forever. However she was able to get all warrants cleared and set up payment plans with the courts. All I had to do was listen to her instructions. I recommend Ms. Roberson and if I ever need an attorney again.... SHE IS MY GO TO!

I had the worst experience with this law firm. They are responsive but don’t tell you your being charged for the slightest thing. Example, email response as simple as a question, I was charged the hourly rate of almost $50. Be ready spend mad money. I dropped Mrs. Roberson because my bill was close to $5000 and nothing had been done. (edited today after I posted earlier) And now I get a phone call from the head partner, am I getting charged for that too.? Ain’t funny when you have nothing to lose and a weight is lifted. Thanks for taking money I could have placed elsewhere Jaclyn.

Oh they gave a convincing song and dance in the beginning. They made me feel like it would be quick and easy. After a year and THOUSANDS of dollars, my relationship with my teenage daughter is ruined. Mrs. Whitley and her firm never advocated for me. Her paralegals take WEEKS to reply to any questions. If you're lucky enough to get a reply, you will be nickeled and dimed for every call, text, and email. Two of my friends and I ended up firing her. I only wish I had fired her sooner. After reading the other negative reviews, it sounds like this is common practice for the Whitley firm. Spend your hard earned money elsewhere.

Called explained my case. Open and shut with breach of contract by lease agreement. Lady who i was speaking was completely negative saying we don't take cases like this can't help you. Must pay 750, and not sure if we can recover it in judgment. Completely negative. Wouldn't want them representing me in court.

James was able to file an appeal and have the document reversed on my behalf. I highly recommend his services to anyone going through separation or divorce. Hire an attorney before hand. My case has been a complete and total nightmare. The only thing which has made the last year of my life bearable is the diligent and dedicated work of this firm, specifically, Lisa, Kay and Jessica. My divorce is still on going and I have not been able to see my children in over a year, as their mother took them and fled to California. These wonderful women have communicated and cooperated with my California council to ensure I am getting the best representation both in Texas and California. Kay calls on the weekends to check to see if I have heard from my kids. Jessica is always available when I have questions. Lisa has been a staunch representative of both my rights and the rights of my children. I cannot say how thankful I am for the effort and consideration provided me by this firm. I would hate to see anyone go through what I have, but if they do, I would tell them there is no one who can take better care of them than Lisa, Kay, and Jessica.

From the first day we spoke with Lisa Vance and her office we have felt like we were going to be well taken care of. Lisa is a great listener, she is compassionate, and she is assertive. She has many years of experience in family law and her dedication to thoroughly advocating for her clients is comforting. She has the strong support of her staff and many colleagues to collaborate with in all areas. Any and all questions are answered in a timely fashion. We know that when we step into court with Lisa at our side we are in good hands and we can count on her protection. Update: 07/20/2021. Nine months later, and close to $50,000 less in our life savings, nothing changed. A recommended friend that Lisa Vance strongly encouraged the to court use , Dr Dina Trevino, totally fell short of her time and visits on our behalf and wrote a horrible report against us and greatly encouraged others to do the same once her report came out. Up until that point we were “excellent” Caregivers for our grandchildren. No, we are not angry and bitter, just feel you should know the truth as we experienced it. Even Lisa Vance herself turned on us in the end with ugly words stating we would not be a part of our grandchildren’s life if we did not continue to keep her on and fight the endless ugly battle. It’s so horribly ugly in the courts, if you are looking for an Attorney, best of luck to you. The court system is severely broken. May God Bless our children, May He protect those that cannot protect themselves.
