I can not possibly give a higher review of any service based business that I have ever used. I have been through a BRUTAL three cases with my ex husband over various issues and Mr. Hughey, so far, was able to get me 100% of my checklist. He is brilliant. He has made me understand the law that I am fighting to uphold. He has educated me on how to think like he does when I present him with my testimony, evidence or details regarding my case. My husband and I say over and over "whatever Hughey says, that is what we will do". The highest of recommendations possible. I TRUST him with my children. Let's put it that way.

I agree with the other review, they are fake and probably paid people to write good reviews. I went to them in March 2018, and I hired them gave them a credit card payment same day and I regret giving them a payment, I wouldn’t even hire them if they were free. All they see is dollar signs and take advantage of you when you are vulnerable. All they care about is getting paid. They will charge you for everything even a 5 second call and they will use up all your money and then will ask you that you are out of credit as you will have to pay more for them to finish your divorce. I paid them 5000 in March of 2018 and I received my divorce decree in may and nothing was finalized and they wouldn’t continue the decree because they wanted more money. So I pretty much paid 5000 for them to draw some divorce papers. They are just a joke. Don’t wast your money!!!

Jane-Ashley Mcmillan is an excellent attorney. She is very tough and aggressive, yet she understood my desire for an amicable resolution. I admired her toughness. Jane-Ashley takes the time to sit to make sure that you are heard. She is very straight forward about how to handle your case. She and her staff are very patient with all of the outside distractions that come up, to make sure your needs are met. Divorce can be emotionally and financially devastating . There is no good time. Lawyers, like other professionals, generally charge about the same rates. That's where it stops and we're left with the old adage, "The price is what you paid, but the value is what you got." Let me tell you, there's a chasm rivaling the Grand Canyon between common price and exceptional value and Jane-Ashley McMillan, Counselor is standing on the side of that canyon you want to be on. It's not just anyone's divorce, it's your divorce, your life, your kids, memories, financial security and mental well being. I had a complex situation financially. The urge to argue through lawyers - succumbing to anger, frustration, resentment is not an intelligent thing to do for anyone. Although, it can be a profitable for unscrupulous attorneys. In retrospect, what I needed was someone to manage me as well as the process; guide me through it; ensure I was protected; and -- that my spouse got a fair settlement, because she'd earned it. The problem was, I didn't know that going in. I just knew I'd found the best reference I could through all my lawyer friends. Thank you Jane-Ashley McMillan.

Camille exceeded my expectations. I knew I needed a counselor with an assertive personality who would be zealous, because I wanted to be confident we would reach a fair outcome, not because I wanted to maximize my share of the settlement. That's exactly what I got, and I felt that she adopted her approach to align with my intentions. I wanted a very logical approach, and was pleased that she spoke my language. I was very satisfied with how responsive and available she was. Since I have almost no comparative knowledge, Regarding value, her method of billing was precisely described at the introductory meeting, and is accurate, thoroughly disclosed, and fair. When shopping for an attorney, a surprising number of my divorced friends said they wouldn't recommend their attorney, for various reasons. That won't be the case for me.

These people wanted 300 dollars an hour just to see if I even had a case....consultations should be free or severerly discounted...... Then a 7500 dollar retainer???......and this is all before you even know if this place is good for you or not......No. Find someone else.

I am a physician. I filled the petition for divorce myself together with a drafted decree. The OC created a decree which was unfair to me and did not match the decree which I drafted myself. I decided to seek legal counseling and came to Ms. Borg. I thought that the top priority was to negotiate a counter offer and reach to settlement. This was not the case. In 3 weeks the retainer of $5000 was consumed mainly in producing discovery documents, answers to interrogatories and inventory and appraisements. These were produced at the last minute. Ms. Borg did not pay attention to details of our discussions. She did not take notes and I had to answer to questions which were asked before and responded to. Of course I had to bear the cost for that. She did not read the decree produced by the OC or my drafted one. I had to point out details of things written in the decree which she was not aware of. I was charged for 4.50 hours, which were spent on the settlement offer or counter offer. However the settlement offer was incomplete at the time of termination of services with Ms. Borg, had some contradictories and did not reflect my actual discussed offer with Ms. Borg. She did not represent my best interest. More than once I had to defend myself with my own counselor. Though she was the one who decided to withdraw from the case over a disagreement of her insisting on me getting the house appraised and me refusing to do it because the OC thought the house price was way less than the market value, I agreed to her withdrawal and signed the motion without contesting it. I am glad that this happened so I could have a counselor who truly represent my best interests and give me sincere legal advises when needed. This short experience was a total disappointment. I would not recommend Ms. Borg to any one. I would encourage you to read negative reviews carefully because I did not pay so much attention to that.

Hired for family law case never filed for the motion to modify visitation . Put a restraining order on my ex causes a lot of problems talking with her lawyer.. unresponsive had us do work on the case he never did anything refused to respond to us didn’t send a itemized statement after months of requests. Reported to board of attorneys who say he won’t respond to them either. Do not hire him he’ll steal your money and vanish

I owe everything to Jonathan James, Sharon Bradford, and his office. I had gone through four attorneys before finding the perfect fit with Hance Law Group. I was in need of an attorney for my divorce/custody of my son and could not have been in better hands. They were efficient in handling my affairs, completely professional, caring, unmatched in every way. What stood out the most about Hance Law Group is they took the time to listen to my concerns, took in consideration my wants and needs, counseled me, but ultimately left the decision up to me every step of the way. I am a young, single mother, but was treated with the utmost respect (something I did not receive from my other attorneys) and for once I felt heard. I was also impressed with how I was prepped for court, and mediation. Jonathan and his staff keeps you well informed and prepared, leaving very little room for error and failure. I honestly would not have come out on top had it not been for this amazing team. They truly care, love what they do, and are worth every penny spent. Aside from attorney Kerns (which is awesome) no one ever responds promptly. You call and it’s always “they’ll call back” or you can send an email and it’ll be days before they respond. Won’t use them in the future if needed for this reason.
