I recommend Brad Voss as an attorney in anything he provides. I called a few lawyers regarding my sons custody case and I didn’t like the other lawyersI had spoken to on the phone. David Pedrazas represented my boyfriend in a Divorce/Custody. He's now ex wife had taken his 4 children across country and prohibited the kids to have any relationship with my boyfriend for almost 2 years, we had to hire a Private investigator and had no luck until his oldest contacted him behind the mothers back. The ex wife justified her actions in court by making allegations of domestic abuse. It was a difficult case but David was so knowledgeable, honest and he fought for my boyfriend's truth. At the end the judge granted relocation of the kids and now my boyfriend has sole physical custody of his kids. I can't express enough how much he helped our family and how grateful we are for him. I really believe without him we wouldn't have won this case, he basically got everything my boyfriend wanted. David really cares about his clients and he's joy at the end of court demonstrated his commitment to bringing the children home. I live in Georgia, my now ex-wife left the state with our four children and moved to Utah. She made false allegations of domestic violence to justify her reason for leaving and would not let me see or even talk to our children. I had no idea where she went and by the time I was able to locate them Utah had jurisdiction. I researched many lawyers in Utah. It was kinda scary to hire and pay a lawyer over the phone without meeting in person. I really wanted to get the best possible lawyer because my children were at stake and they asked me to please try and get custody. When I came across David I really felt like I had the right lawyer. I read all the reviews and they felt sincere, now I definitely know they were. David is a Great lawyer, the best I’ve ever dealt with! David is on top of his game and will not hold back! David is an exceptional trial lawyer, he is aggressive just like you want and really knows his stuff! David was always really easy to get in touch with and would call you back the same day if he was busy. I felt really confident through the whole experience with him on my side. I knew I made the right choice by hiring him. David is very thorough and suggested a GAL with turned out to be really helpful. David stayed committed to the case the whole time! I started the process with no contact or even phone call’s with my children. During the process David got me phone call’s, then visits. The outcome was amazing! Just Law Family Attorneys is a great firm. I had the pleasure of being represented by Laura Hansen and she did a terrific job managing my case. She cares about her clients and fights for those things that are important to them. She has a great team helping her and it makes the hard parts of your life a lighter burden by having a tremendous staff. Conor is a paralegal and he is very knowledgeable with the laws and pays great attention to details involving the documents and procedures associated with a case. He is quick with correspondence and it is a relief to not feel like you are just a number in their system. Conor makes sure that you receive all the documents from opposing counsel and that you verify documents needing to be sent. Melissa is a case manager and is super friendly and is very knowledgeable in family law. Having witnessed the activities of this group on a simple case, but is now, thankfully, in the hands of another practitioner after three years of inaction, lack of correspondence of any kind, and a capitulating outlook on all case aspects. It is unclear if this firm has a caseload balance issue, or if there is a lack of interest on certain cases. Either could effectively describe the handling of the case in question. It was apparent early on in the case that there was little interest in strategy, with every answer along the lines giving into the demands of opposing council at every juncture. The effect on the client was negative and long lasting, as they were often left with missing or unclear instruction or response to valid questions. Attaining assistance was further hindered by an alarming rate of office staff turnover, resulting in inaction through lack of continuity. Promised and scheduled meetings or calls were rarely, if ever executed. Meetings that did occur were unproductive and non assertive, with an apparent mantra that the firm is just present to file paperwork and nothing more. The lack of communication also effected billing. Regular statements, and requests fore statements went unfulfilled for inordinate spans of time. Billing will, however, be expedited after a case is transferred from the firm to another. This firm is not one I would choose if I was seeking even the slightest amicable outcome. Whatever the reason for all of the issues in the handling of the case, it resulted in the additional effort and expense of moving the handling to another law firm.

It turns out I won’t be needing their help for now, but if anything changes I will be calling back as I have zero doubt they have my best interests in mind. James handled my divorce for me. I filed early October and he had it done by the middle of November! No one I’ve talked to can believe how fast or how cheap he got it done for me. He came in to it with care and compassion making sure it was equitable for all involved. He cares about people and made sure that my children would still be well taken care of. Mr. McGarvey gave me a chance to make a change in my daughters life when I was told by many other attorneys that I didnt have a good chance of getting only 50/50 of my little girl. The moment we met he gave me confidence in himself and the plan he had put together and in no time I was in agreement with my ex to get 50/50. he was very knowledgeable and handled my case very fast. meaning I wasn't having to come out of pocket so much outside the retainer fee. I wish I had found him first 8 years ago over the 2 others that rep. me and didnt do much of anything. hopefully I won't need anymore help but I know ive got someone whose got my back if I do. ive already recommended him to other fathers and in Utah where they say "mothers rule everything" James gave me a fighting chance.

Very unprofessional and very expensive! Doesn't follow directions and does what he wants as an attorney. Charged me $3900 for a plea an abeyance which anyone can do themselves. Wish I would've went with an alternative attorney.

I must have met her on a bad day, I’m shocked by all the amazing reviews. I agree more with the 1-star reviews. She was very unprofessional and overstepping her boundaries. Left me feeling verbally harassed. Did not seem open at all the hearing what I had to say. I think she must have been fulfilling a personal favor to come to me and tell me I wasn’t doing my job, which was news to me. Her stepping in actually made the entire situation much harder and took much longer to get resolved. In response to the owner’s reply - it also looks like she does not keep very good records because I have a long email thread that has my name clearly listed. If this is how an attorney reacts to opposing comments, I would be hesitant to hire her. I’m not opposing counsel or party, in fact, I was working with one of her clients on a situation that is irrelevant to Emy’s specialty of practice.

I was very impressed with the level of integrity and dedication of Attorney Cordano. My custody dispute was cause for great concern but Emy took the time to patiently explain my options. It can be quite intimidating facing such issues when so much is on the line. She reassured me regarding the strengths of my case and then articulately presented it to the court. Terry is too much of a used car salesperson who gives you the impression he knows how to overcome the challenges because he knows such and such and done a million of these types of cases. But in the end he all he did was pressure me to take a deal that I didn't want to take, mainly because he didn't know how to fight it, or couldn't be bothered. I totally regret hiring him. Stephanie Jensen was very nice and honest. However, she is super passive and NOT who you want representing you on a criminal case. Her ability too plea bargain was so poor I knew I had to go to trial. I chose to leave her and go to trial using a public defender because she was so passive. The public defender got the entire case dismissed due to lack of evidence.

The reason this law firms calls themselves Fathers Rights is because, typically speaking, the men have the money during a divorce and can pay the attorney fees. I didn't get the impression that this firm really cares about father's rights. As soon as my money ran out they stopped representing me. I would have thought they would have seen the case through to the end and then figure out how to settle up but that didn't happen. Instead I was left with an incomplete divorce and an ex that still continues to do whatever she wants even in direct violation of the divorce decree. And good luck trying to navigate the courts without an attorney! The people that work there are nice enough. I didn't have any personality conflicts with anyone. It is just very black and white when it comes to money.

Let’s be honest; when you hire a lawyer to represent you in a child custody dispute, you don’t want a French Poodle, nor a Pug. You want a junkyard dog, preferably a Doberman Pinscher or a Pit Bull. You need her (or him) to rip apart the other side’s arguments like so much steak on a meat shredder. Mark Hales is a horrible attorney if you can even really call him that. Stay away from Jolley&Jolley they will bend you over all they care about is over charging and billing you. Worst experience I have ever had. Alexander is a good sells man, his attorney that work for him are horrible they couldn't help a father with anything besides helping them getting bent over. Alexander I see you responded and your selling tacit hasn't changed. Mark Hales is your most senior attorney with your firm still doesn't make him a good attorney. I was a client I can see your records are as inadequate as your law firm.

Mel Cook is a consummate Professional. In November 2014 I was laid off work for medical reasons. Mel was referred to me by our HR department to assist in filing a disability clam with the Social Security Administration. Mel met with me to file the paper work which on initial response from the S.S.A. was declined. Mel then worked with me on the appeal and S.S. came back with a reversal of their initial decision. Mel was able to file and appeal with an agreeable resolution coming from the S.S.A. in about six and a half months. This is an amazing accomplishment if you've ever had to work with the government and you know how slowly the wheels of the system can turn. Mel has been supportive through this process. He has provided sound advice and has provided a listening hear to my thoughts and concerns. Mel is a good man and true to his word. I would highly recommend him to anyone looking for an individual with integrity and a solid work ethic.

My ex-husband wanted to take advantage of me because of my deafness, and inability to communicate correctly. We were separated for more than 5 years, I do not have job. He told the judge that he was crazy and he was determined to make me pay Alimony to him, because he says that I had, or have a good job, and this is false. I was and I am surviving just with the Help of the State because of my disability. I found Mr. Cook though the website, I emailed him many times, and explained to him my case ( by my captioning device for the deaf and hard of hearing ). Starting that day, He was my lawyer. And I am so grateful to him because he fought hard in my case. My ex-husband falsified information making the case harder to present/investigate the allegations. But at the end Mr. Cook, was able to respond and prove that this individual was trying to take advantage of me, Mr. Cook won the case! If you need to file for disability I strongly suggest that you give Mel a call. I had answered an on line questionnaire that had several attorney contacts. I did some shopping around also, Mel was the only response that I had received from this questionnaire. Thinking now that from the lack of no other attorney's interest that I may not qualify for disability and talking with Mel at this point he assured me that he would not have taken my case if he did not think he could help me. He was right. Not only did he help me but my case was resolved quickly in my favor. Mel is a down to earth all around good guy. I owe him much gratitude. You should give him a call.
