Lisa Martin was very helpful and caring. She was there when I couldn’t be for my mother. I really appreciate her help during the divorce. A wee bit spendier than others but it was totally worth it

I would very strongly recommend against working with McKinley Irvin on your divorce case, and specifically recommend against working with David Gross. I recently got out of a horrific 14 month divorce case and worked with David that entire time. There was probably no way to really avoid trial, my ex was going to force that one way or another, but I found David's approach to be ineffectual at every turn. One major issue was lack of time. For 14 months, i heard about how busy David was with other cases. How he was working 14 hour days every day and had so much scheduled that it was all he could do to put out fires and make it from one thing to the next. This is not the mindset you want in your lawyer. You want someone who can take time to actually think about your case. At least three times David had to delay a hearing or miss a deadline for personal or other reasons. Each time I incurred extra costs, thousands of dollars all told for extra emails, extra court appearances, requests to delay etc. Etc. His staff duplicated work and would charge me twice for the same thing. Probably because they were too busy to know what was going on. They took over two months to simply turn in my discovery answers to the other side. David was uninformed on multiple legal questions and gave me incorrect information on paternity in my case. He also did not bother to research self employment issues as they pertained to my case, despite my addressing this with him months in advance and finding him an expert to consult with (who he never called) and was actually asking me questions during the divorce trial to try and figure out his response to the petitioners side. I saw no real evidence he had actually prepared for my trial, he was also asking me during the trial what he should ask during cross examination. The biggest misstep was certainly appointing a guardian ad litem. This went from "I have already spoken to two great people ready to step in and do this" to "I don't have anyone lined up but we have plenty of time " to "I have no one lined up and there is no time at all so this will barely get done". Ultimately he accepted someone recommended by the opposing lawyer and then the guardian ad litem actually lied under oath. He didn't bother to point this out, although it could have been proven by just referring to one of the available documents. I have a feeling he recommended we appoint the gal just because this had the potential to reduce his workload. Ultimately she is why I did not get custody of my kids. About those hundreds and hundreds of pages of documents I uploaded at least three times in preparation for the trial? Didn't bother to refer to those either. Did anyone actually read any of it? Doubtful. When you schedule two trials for two different clients in the same week, how can you possibly be prepared for either one? Bottom line: I spent many many tens of thousands more than my ex and David got completely murdered at trial. Did they actually do half of the stuff they billed me for? I have no evidence of it. Run far, far away from these people.

There really aren’t words to describe what Lisa Ward has done for me. Lisa took a very messy and extremely complicated anti-harassment case against me and with true skill got it dismissed. I was so blindsided by the case against me that when I came to Lisa my anxiety was at an all-time high. She assured me that I could hand over my stress and anxiety to her and that she would do everything in her power to defend me…and she did just that. I can’t tell you the relief I felt every time I met with Lisa whether it was in her office or before/after the hearings. This case was moving fast and the evidence against me felt insurmountable. Lisa placed priority on my case because it was moving so quickly and sifted through the evidence with a fine-tooth comb, explained in detail all possible outcomes, and came up with a game plan in record time. Lisa knew my budget and she broke down exactly what was necessary and what wasn’t and allocated her time and resources to make sure my money was being used efficiently. Watching Lisa walk into each court hearing gave me a sigh of relief. Her passion, poise, and skill in the courtroom is incredible. Navigating the noise of this case and sorting out what was relevant and what wasn’t was masterfully done and led to the eventual dismissal of my case. Moreover, Lisa has a very personal approach with her clients. This was deeply important because this case was personally difficult and very close to home for me. Lisa was there for me whenever I needed her, checked in with me often, and I never had to wait for a response from her which is so critical when you have so many important questions. I strongly recommend Lisa Ward for any of your legal needs. I truly can’t speak highly enough of her.

Due to my financial situation, I wasn't able to hire Jeffrey for representation (although I would have if I had been able). Instead, Jeffrey offered me an alternative to review paperwork and assist with pleadings in my family law case. He also answered all my questions throughout my journey. From the first email, he was quick to respond and also very forthcoming as to what he felt would help me and what would not, keeping my end goal at the forefront. His assistance was worth every penny, which was more affordable than anyone else I had come across. Very impressed by him and would recommend him to anyone, 10/10.

I would recommend highly! Jeff went above and beyond, he represented me on a charge early 2019 with great results. He was very open and understanding Always responded in a timely manner, only one time did I not get to talk to him until the following day. A huge thing for me is that he didn't give up on me, when he didnt get the results we thought were fair he was persistent in dealing with the prosecution multiple times even going to the guys superior with our evidence until finally they bowed down. I have dealt with a few different lawyers and I def felt like he was with me not just representing me.

I was looking for a family law attorney in Cowlitz county. Unfortunately, all the attorneys had prior engagements. I looked up reputable attorneys on AVVO and Holmes Law Firm came up with great ratings and reviews. I called and left a message and kept moving through the list. About 30min later Mr. Holmes called me back. He informed me that he no longer practices law in Cowlitz county but gave me a few suggestions on who to contact. I really appreciated him taking the time to call me back even though he didn’t have to since he couldn’t represent me. If I ever move I will definitely contact Mr.Holmes in the event I would ever need a great attorney.

I wasn't a client of Elizabeth Christy's, however, I gave my boyfriend at the time the money to pay for her to try to get full custody of his daughter. She was late to court, which is completely unprofessional and seemed unorganized and didn't use much of the information we provided her. I regret not having researched more lawyers and found one who is willing to work harder for their client. Right now she's probably spending more time replying to Google reviews than working on cases for her clients. I don't recommend using her.

I hired Anna Sept 2019 to handle a big headache of mine; a change from out-of-state to in-state custody between me and my daughter's father. I won't go into the details, but there were serious issues involved that needed delicacy but also firmness. Anna was just the attorney (and woman!) for the job. Not only did she adeptly navigate the formalities for me, she also helped set me straight on what truly needed to be accomplished (and what could be accomplished). Anna made our first work-experience together painless. We struck a custody deal that I feel was the best outcome for our daughter. I could NEVER have gotten a deal like that without her skills. BUT THEN! Just a few short months after we settled the case, another big change happened in our lives and it was back to Anna to help us negotiate a new custody agreement that I was not sure was going to end pleasantly. As it turned out, Anna showed me how the law was in our favor. In the end, we were able to re-secure the best custody arrangement for our daughter despite the awful circumstances. Anna pulled through yet again with no less enthusiasm or empathy. She is prompt and also handled my "freak out" moments with grace and understanding. "Thank you, Anna, for being objective and kind in those moments." I've worked with other attorney's before and her work ranks among the best. I didn't get everything I "wanted," but I got everything I needed. I couldn't be more thankful for having found Anna in our time of need.

My experience with the Elizabeth Christy Law Firm in Vancouver started out a bit rocky, but then I meet Conor Buie and he saved me! Conor was very professional all in the handling of my divorce and my divorce got a bit messy, as most do. However, Conor took the time to make sure all my questions and concerns were answered in a timely matter, even when they shut down the courts due to Covid-19. He answered my emails and we even spoke over the phone a few times especially when I really needed some understanding. Furthermore, the Paralegals that work with Conor are also wonderful and handle things in a timely and respectful manner. I would recommend Conor and this Law Firm to anyone who is needing attorneys who take you seriously, are understanding, and most importantly take time to meet the needs of each client they have.

I was able to talk with Josh on the phone prior to my appointment and he didn't make my head spin like another attorney did. I told Josh what I wanted and instead of adding fees and what ifs with every word I spoke he was respectful of my time and my money and didn't talk about how much more it would be and how long and drawn out it would be. Plain, simple as I requested and Josh honored that and I appreciate that.

Pat represented me in my divorce action about 15 years ago. I had the misfortune of being in court with a different attorney, today, for a separate matter. As I sat and waited for my case to be called, I observed Ms. Chvatal and her court conduct. She was very professional and personal. I watched her scan the audience and make eye contact with her clients immediately upon her entering the courtroom. Shortly after, she continued to remind me of why I hired her years ago. She took the time to seek out her clients individually, counseled with each one and even sat down next to them for longer than a moment. If she didn't really care about them then she should take up acting because as far as I could see, she genuinely cares. It appeared to me each of her clients reciprocated that attitude and gave her the utmost respect. EACH one of them received her undivided attention and in a courtroom is where you hired her to do what she does. She does it well! Her clients seemed to display a look of relief and I sure wish I could have shared in feeling that way. My case was a slam dunk but my attorney, not so much. I had to go to him and had no idea what was even going to be presented to the Court. I sure miss her and wish I would have hired her to handle the matter before the Court, now. I know legal representation is expensive. I don't think one charges much less or more than the other. From what I've seen with Pat, you get the well known name (reputation), legal tenure, respect of colleagues, respect of courtroom authority and bang for your buck. She treated me like I mattered. I wish I felt like I mattered right now. For what legal fees cost, you should matter. Regretful I'm missing out on her representation for current issues! Highly recommend!!

I had an outstanding experience with Janis Kipp who helped me through the difficult process of navigating the court system in a divorce. She answered all my questions, prepared my paper work, and saved my sanity in a variety of ways. I was very appreciative, and grateful for her patient work in addressing all my needs. It was very nice to have the option to pay an LLLT at a less expensive rate than an attorney, but to know that I would have access to their help if needed.... sort of like having a baby with a midwife at a hospital, but having access to the doctors if something should go terribly wrong. Janis is the midwife of birthing a divorce, for people like me, that want to have a more "natural" divorce experience, with no contention or conflict. She is amazing.

My husband has been a client of Fiori Law Office going on two years now. They had helped us tremendously with paperwork, child support, parenting plans, court and were patient with us and answered all our questions. They recently were bought out by someone and let’s just say they are ABSOLUTELY AWFUL. We have called time and time again asking for Michelle, who has helped us so much in the past, and never once get a call back. When we do get a live person, they tell us that it’ll be $200 just to speak to Michelle.... then my husband emails because he needs an attorney right now and they tell us that they can’t take on anymore clients even though he has been a client for over two years. We will never recommend this place, nor will we ever pay them a dime again. Bye.

I was referred by one of my friends that said she used Loretta and a few of her friends have used her as well and they all called her a bull dog in the court room. What I enjoyed about her is she was personable and reasonable. She suggested and recommended what she could get for me, but wasn't there to tell me otherwise and take my money. I have had a bad experience with other attorneys that will take a deposit and not give you a heads up that it could cost more. I felt she was there to help and get the best end result. In fact I put a deposit down and started to role the ball on a case but two days later the other end was taken care of. Instead of charging me the hours her office had already worked towards my case she refunded me my whole amount. I recommend Loretta because she is one of the best attorney's out there and will do her best to get what you need. I will be using her again if I need her.
