The outcome after all of the work put in by the firm was we opted for a living trust, with provisions for life insurance, child care in case of our own demise, an estate distribution that avoiding probate, tax benefits, and other important components. Nobody wants to think about their expiration, and we had avoided that, and the needed planning, for many years. Once done, we got a lot of serenity. We attended one of their free seminars on estate planning. The session was very well done. After our complementary consultation, we decided to go with Litherland, Kennedy and Associates to restate our trust as updates were needed. We liked the flat rate structure and found the firm to be very responsive to our emails and phone calls and were pleased with the final result. I haven't met Roy but his partner and the secretary were rude.. They told me my husband have to be with me to set up a joint trust and if not I could go elsewhere. Do I really need to be told to go elsewhere? My husband works night and I work day. We have three kids which was why I asked if he could start with me first and my husband later. They had that "I don't need you" attitude...lol...then why have seminars and all the advertisements?? I regret for referring my friends to this law firm....never ever again. I didn't feel welcome. I felt as if they don't like Asian. Maybe they have had bad experiences with Asian but that just how they made me feel.
