Estate attorney was excellent but 2 others we worked with where totally unprofessional . They rarely answered calls or emails and did everything to delay the case giving advice contrary to our interests but always presented their huge bills on time. This would have been fine if they had gotten ANYTHING done to advance our case in the 6 months we worked with them.

I initially attempted to do my own revocable trust through an online program. When finished, I contacted Block Legal Services to review my documents and advise if any changes needed to be made. I am so glad I did because they found major holes and mistakes in my documents that would have left my estate in a mess. Kurt Schuster is a great atty. contrary to the usual stereotype of attorneys being ruthless and only caring about enriching themselves, Kurt was the opposite. I saw him approximately 10 years ago when I wanted to divorce my husband, he advised me not to do so for the sake of my children who were in high school. He told me to wait until they were out of the home. This turned out to be the best decision for me and my family. When my children were out of the home I saw him again to file for divorce. He correctly picked up on my ambivalence and discouraged me. My husband and I received counseling and worked through our problems . In retrospect I am so glad I didn’t go through with divorce. Kurt is not your typical atty, his focus was not on making money for himself, he was focused on keeping my marriage and family together and he was right.

I would recommend Dan Krause Estate Planning and Elder Law without hesitation to anyone searching for estate planning help. We were unsure how to proceed with writing wills, and were not satisfied with a will we wrote 20 years prior. We contacted Krause Estate Planning only on the basis of an ad that attracted our attention. In an initial meeting, we talked through our issues and concerns and Dan provided us with choices and information and made us feel comfortable and secure with the process. He explained to us in language we could understand the laws that relate to wills, revocable and irrevocable trusts. After making our choices, the documents he drafted impressed us with their completeness. It was clear that he had put time into thinking through possible or potential situations and included language to address what appeared to us to be any situation or event. The team at Krause Donovan is outstanding. Prior to meeting with them, I was under the misconception that a trust was for "rich people". I was dissatisfied with the client service I received from this firm. I found it frustrating because my family's phone calls, emails, etc., were not returned in a timely fashion, the entire process took much longer than we were told, and we received inaccurate information by the staff. That being said, the firm did reach out to me afterward about my experience and listened to my concerns. Hopefully they will address issues within their firm and client experiences in the future will be more positive than my family's was.
