Everyone at one point or another makes a mistake they wish they could take back while enduring the repercussions of their act. When the law is concerned, the fate of ones’ life can seem to be decided as nonchalant as a casual business conversation. In my case, I revealed my violation when I was applying for the police department to prove my honesty and show that I was ready to start making a difference in my community. My interview soon became an interrogation, and not long after I was charged with three felonies. When I came to Tom Medrano with my case, he immediately began to draw up a plan and described everything in detail what he would do. He used simple anagrams that explained how to go about dealing with the situation and gave counsel with the sense of optimism I needed. Most importantly, by the impression I gathered, he could empathize with my predicament whereas the justice system only made me feel like an outcast among society. I followed instruction by seeing the therapist and psychologist he recommended personally. At the final hearing my case was dropped to a single charge, with no jail time, and a short period of probation. I felt like I could finally relax after being so stressed from the matter. I was very pleased with all Tom had been able to work out. Not only did he reduce the typical sentence, he was able to arrange for a second set of terms. Halfway through my probation we would return to court, reduce the felony to a misdemeanor, discard the remaining time of probation, and expunge the charge from my criminal record. Just as he had planned, the court agreed to dismiss my case. I want to thank Tom so much for representing me and all his hard work. I feel confident I can move on with my life without the burden of my past hindering my future.

I came across Matt because my boyfriend had gone to him in the past and got good results. I had couple of warrants because I didn't complete the classes that I needed to do for a DUI that I got. I had contacted different lawyers just to see how I felt about each one and to see what they would say my options were. When I spoke to Matt he made me feel like I was gonna be ok. Explained to me everything that I needed to know and explained what he could do to help me fix it. He removed my warrants and re instated my classes and everything that I needed to get done without me having to go to court. I got him another case for my uncle that had a warrant and was arrested and he went to court for him. He was able to get him one year probation when it was gonna be 3 years and some classes. Not so long ago I was sitting right where you are…semi-frantically scrolling through listings and reviews, trying to figure out what attorney would be my best option to sort out this terrible mess I’d somehow found myself in. Just about the worst feeling there is. To make it worse, I’d just moved to LA and didn’t have even a single contact lined up to ask for a referral. So I get it…but hang tight! I can tell you without any reservation that you’ve found the right place. I have dealt with a few different attorneys over the years, and Chris Miller and associates were by far the most pleasant experience I’ve had. From the second I initially spoke to him on the phone, I felt a huge weight lifted that had been following me around like a dark cloud for days. If any of you have ever dealt with other attorneys you know some of them can be impersonal, dismissive, and leave you feeling like they’re better at squeezing every last dime out of you, than they are at actually representing your interests. Not so with Chris. He takes a personal interest in you, your case, your concerns, and most importantly: fighting for your best possible outcome. After speaking briefly with Chris on the phone and getting a very reasonable estimate for the cost of his services, I opted to come in and talk about the details in person. Chris fit me in with an appointment right away. After arriving I was seen right away, and he listened attentively to everything I had to say and asked detailed questions about the circumstances of my case. I was relieved to find he wasn’t condescending or judgmental in the least. Any questions I had were answered in detail. I was also impressed with Chris’s knowledge regarding the inner workings of local courthouses and jurisdictions. This incompetent lawyer couldn't even get a reduction for a old case and then the state law ended up changing to reduce it anyway , was just anxious to collect another attorney fee for nothing . His disrespectful assistant will try to ask for your social security number which no lawyer ever does which is even more concerning. Now have to go to arbitration to get my funds back. All in all do not trust this lawyer for your case in any hopes of a positive outcome. Pathetic.

There are times in our life when we are thrown into challenging hard times. Wondering how do I get through this or even how did I get here! Well Mr. Paul Geller was that guiding light. He provided the answers and hope I was searching for. As we know the judicial system is not always perfect and doesn't always protect the innocent. Being falsely accused of domestic violence and arrested for it was disheartening and scary. I actually got to see first hand how the law can be turned around and work against the innocent. We hired Acer to represent my husband in restraining order case against one of our tenants. Long story short tenant laid hands on my husband while he was trying to do maintenance on the property. Los Angeles basically favors tenants in almost all cases so we knew we'd have to hire someone that would be able to present this case to a judge in a way that truly represents what we are dealing with it. Acer did just that! He is extremely detailed in all aspects, from gathering all information, putting it together and presenting a visual timeline. At times when the judge was coming down on him, he maintained his cool and explained why we needed to present prior incidents. Ultimately the judge agreed that based on historical incidents we were indeed at risk of being harassed/threatened again and granted my husband the restraining order. As a plus...Acer is super cool! Very easy to talk to and always in a good upbeat mood :)

Wow...wow...wow!!! Simon Aval is a 10 star not a five star. Simon has handled my brothers case not once but twice for the same possession with priors. Simon is an attorney who is dedicated to his clients and his clients families. He does not sympathize with one because of the circumstances, he takes it personally as if it was one of his loved ones incarcerated. Fantastic! That is the word I would use to describe my experience with Don Matson. I normally am not one to leave reviews but due to the outcome of my case, I felt compelled to write this review. I contacted Mr. Matsons office regarding a business contract I wanted him to draft for me. We met virtually, due to Covid, to go over the contract and within a week the contract was finished. Fast forward several months later and I found myself embroiled in a lawsuit. To keep a long story short, it was the contract that Mr. Matson had drafted that helped me prevail in court. That contract not only helped me win my case against the other party, it likely saved me about $80,000. A year ago, I was involved in a hit-and-run (I was the one hit) and officers came to the scene only to arrest me for suspicion of a DUI. With my profession on the line, I had no option but to get a lawyer. I chose Ann Gottesman after my partner and I read some of her reviews online. When I contacted her, she was sincere in her sympathy for my situation and VERY HELPFUL prior to me making a commitment to her as my lawyer. Once I chose Ms. Gottesman as my lawyer, she took care of several of the confusing steps that needed to be taken in order for me to get my license back and drive ASAP. Additionally, she patiently guided me through the process of tasks I needed to complete independently, so I could increase the odds of beating my case. Ann did a great job of communicating the reality of my situation while being reassuring and positive. I was appreciative of her approach because dealing with a DUI is mentally taxing (especially during a pandemic). After a year of having my case pushed back, Ann was able to get my motion heard by a judge to get a dismissal; despite her recognizing that it was a long shot. Thanks to Ann’s expertise, I was able to get a very favorable outcome for my case. Ann’s professionalism, compassion, and dedication towards me and my situation, got me through a dreadful year and a half. I could not be more grateful to have chosen Ann as my lawyer. It was one of the luckiest choices we have ever made. I truly can’t imagine a better lawyer suited to take on a person’s case.

I called around before I found Ann. Every lawyer previous to speaking with her was not very optimistic about my possibilities. Also they were charging a very step rate. Ann right away empathized during times like these and negotiated a very fair price. She was very optimist, energetic, and positive. I really felt she was going to fight for me. She gave me all the steps I need to take and educated me about the process. Ann was able to get my entire case closed with a very tough judge. She has great relationships in Pasadena and is well respected. I couldn’t of asked for a better lawyer that really does do her job and works for her Clients.

I was looking for an Attorney and called the California State Bar, they referred me to three different Attorneys. One of them was Ms. Ann Gottesman when I spoked to Ms. Gottesman, she made me feel very comfortable giving me that sense of peace. I was not wrong about this, throughout the time of my case she was always there to take my calls to answer all my concerns. She always returned my calls. I was never given the run around. She is a true professional and always took the time to explain my case. If you are looking for an Attorney, you are definitely in the right hands.

So you caught a case. You're worried about how you're going to pay for an attorney , how long you will sit in jail, how much your bond will be, and what life will be like after court. I was there too. I had talked to so many attorneys on free consults and it was always the same "pitch". They would use words to make me even more worried and overwhelmed by the whole mess. Fear was the tool they used most to try and get me to sign up with them. Some were rude. I had one laugh at me for not acting on the case sooner. They would always ask how much money or credit i had. That is understandeable. They wanted to "qualify" the sale and see if i was a good fit for their time and budget. The prices that these attorneys quoted me were way out of my budget. I assumed if i wanted the best i had to to pay the most. I assumed if they had a receptionist  take my number with a promise to call back then that meant  they were so busy they must be really good. Some never called back. I fell through the cracks on a simple follow up call with these "busy" attorneys. I dodged the bullet of neglect with these busy attorneys. Eventually i found Ann. She listened and asked questions. She never spoke in the way the other attorneys did. She never tried to scare me into taking action. She looked at everything objectively and educated me along the way through the whole process. She met me where i was on all levels. She was easy to get a hold of. She never lied. She painted the best case scenario and worst case scenario along the way. I always look for someone who has at least 10 years in their profession. That is a sign of Mastery for me.  Ann has more than that under her belt. Her prices and payment plans were  very reasonable. I would not blame her if she had to start raising prices. Your results may vary. I had a case dismissed on a very complicated case. I wish you the best. You are in good hands with Ann. Much better hands than with a public "pretender" . I mean public defender. Get with Ann and get that weight off your shoulders.

I am super grateful for Ms. Gottesman. I knew from the moment we spoke over the phone that she was the lawyer for me. Her kind and gentle energy just pulled me in but she’s fierce in the courtroom and well respected! You always want to retain a lawyer that knows the judges and the DA’s respect. Ms. Gottesman is very professional, she fights hard for her clients she pulled a miracle out of the hat for me! I am so very pleased with the results Ms. Gottesman got for me. I’m free! I don’t even know how she made it happen for me but she did! :) She gets things done and I would hire her over and over again.
