Unfortunately, my experience with this law firm did not go well. I requested a consultation, and I worked with a lawyer in the office. I got a second and third opinion which were both in agreement with CO law in my situation. I called back this law firm to discuss this w/the person that advised me. I was told it was forgotten to mention this statute to me, and I received an apology for the error. This was the main gist of my inquiry, and the truth of the statute was not revealed to me during my inquiry. Further, I asked for a recommendation for another local matter. I followed the recommendation and the person recommended to me did not act professionally in regard to state guidelines. When I relayed to the lawyer I worked with at this firm what happened, I was told a complaint has never been stated before about this person/business, and my complaint was dismissed. I've since went to the firm's website, and sent correspondence to the firm about this to discuss it first before this review was posted. I've not heard from the firm. I was told this Christian firm prays over all cases, I was given the personal cell of the person I worked with, yet, I've heard nothing as of today. I recommend getting a second opinion.

My only regret is not hiring Lauren sooner. My divorce was a long process full of conflict and false accusations from the opposition. Lauren strategically navigated this complex case and tailor made our strategy based on my goals and what she thought was possible from her experience. She empathized with me, counseled me, and supported me through this process. She was very conscious that I was on a budget and made every dollar count. Overall my case was very successful, and the quality and value I received from Lauren and her staff at the Hulse Law Firm are unmatched by previous law firms I have hired. I worked with Ryan for a year and a half on a very contentious divorce, and he was fantastic. He was realistic about expectations, helped me understand why we did the things we did, and ran circles around the opposition when we were in court. The gap in professionalism was so extreme that I actually felt embarrassed for my ex-wife's lawyer. Ryan's book knowledge is thorough - he knows little nuances which will help you achieve your goals along the way, and his demeanor puts everyone at ease and makes a very stressful and difficult time a little less stressful. I can honestly say that he was the best lawyer possible for me and my needs, and I'll be forever grateful of his impact on one of the most difficult times in my life.

I've worked with several law firms in the past, but I was so impressed with Beth and the team at her office that I wanted to go on record with this review. Terrible business practice! We went to mediation on 12/26 and my ex and I came to an agreement there. Mrs. Mann was supposed to draft the parenting plan that way it could be filed with the court. It is now 3/27, exactly three months later and she still has not completed the draft to file with the court. The court had to initiate a court hearing for 3/17 to finalize the case due to Mrs. Mann failure to file the parenting plan, however, it had to be rescheduled to 4/17 due to the virus. This is extremely exhausting and frustrating because this case should have been finalized months ago and it's been dragging all this time because she is not responding to my attorney or filing the draft with the court. I think it should be protocol for her to proactively finalize her cases in an adequate time, but here we are still spending money on attorneys when this should have been over since December or latest January.

I cannot thank her enough for the help she provided and the added information she was willing to provide. Her paralegal, Andrea, was very supportive as well. Thank you Andrea for preparing the documents for the court hearing and listening to me about my issues I was dealing with. Lastly, I want to thank Evelyn for gathering the initial documents and folders to keep my records in order. She was also willing to listen to the problems i was going through and provided me comfort that everything will be okay. Overall, the team did a superb job! I am happy with the outcome, but we have much more to do. I am confident that the resolution, when it's finally over, will benefit myself and my children in the long run that we live in peace and rebuild our relationship with trust. Don't use this lawyer. She met with me about my case said she would be in touch in a week. Called and left multiple messages after two weeks , no one responded back for days. When the receptionist did call me back she had no idea who I was and had no information on my case, asked if they could help me. The receptionist said she would check into it. I am yet to get a call back.

I retained Jeff way back in 2017 when I was having a dispute with the mother of my son. It was looking pretty horrible and Jeff helped talk me through many scenarios and strategies. Eventually i worked things out and then things blew up again in 2020. Jeff honored the money that was still on retainer even 3 years after the original agreement. I was clearly not a "big ticket client" for him but he treated me with priority anyway. He is no-nonsense and says it how it is according to the law. Its not his job to deal with the emotional part of families, just the legal part. His focus on the legality of matters is valuable and helpful in making informed decisions. Thank you Jeff for helping me better understand the details of this process!

I highly recommend Jeff Alter. He provides a clear and concise legal assessment of the situation followed by highly credible recommendations. His work ethic was extremely professional and well organized, he was on top of everything to get the job done. He also made the case clear for me and less stressful knowing every step and being extremely knowledgeable. Words are not enough to explain the good things about him and the legal services he provides. I know every case is different but he solved mine in less than a month. This shows how quickly he took action on my case and prevented me from going to trial.

In family law cases, I've learned that you don't just sit and wait to see what happens and risk it all. In my expreience today, if you need a lawyer who can help you with highest integrity and knowledge, and has full attention to details, call Jeff Alter! I found Alter Family Law Office on Google last night and sent an email this morning through their website about upcoming hearing this week. However, throughout the day, panicking I called 5 other high rated law offices in 'Denver and never once I was able to speak with a lawyer or anyone who can help out at an emergency. We needed someone to contain a fire as soon as possible, in the matter of the family law case for divorce and custody issues. However, Jeff called me back, on the same day! His free consultation was nothing short, but an hour long consultation where he was very attentive to details and set us in the hopeful direction. He promised to make himself available in case we need to retain his services. I offered to pay for his time and for invaluable advise, but he said it was free. Thank you so much!!

We had to enlist the help of Plog & Stein to assist with making changes to a previous parenting plan in place. When meeting with Mr. Plog, it was clear his many years of practicing law were goin to prove helpful. His level of understanding and knowledge of the court system was remarkable. Impressive to say the least. His expectations of our case were realistic and communication was remarkable. Not only did we jump on board due to his knowledge, we felt comfortable. We felt that our money was not going to be mishandled. We felt our goals were going to be met. We have yet to be disappointed with this firm. Sarah McCain was my attorney for my legal separation. She was actually my second attorney. I hired this company after my lawyer Joe Brown joined them from another firm. I had previously hired him after firing my first lawyer who wasn't working enough on my case or communicating with me at all. I thought Joe was great with his old firm, but then Burnham Law completely blew me away. Their level of knowledge, experience, service, and communication is truly a cut above the rest. I needed to find knowledgeable, trustworthy representation to go through one of the toughest times in my life. I was referred to David Kalisek from a family friend. Do not fall for their “we are on your side” consultation! Jennifer/Jessica made me feel comfortable, confident and felt like they understood me but they are just after your money. After a month from signing the contract, they bill me almost $2000 and never even filed the divorce. The week I tell them I’m talking to other attorneys they charge me 22 minuets just to find the county which I’m filing the divorce! That may not seem like a lot but trust me, their “research” really adds up. One can learn more from a simple google search in 1 hour then what they had to dig up over several weeks. When I brought up that the charges were getting out of my expense Jessica came off so offended and suggested I LOOK FOR ANOTHER ATTORNEY. Get this, after a month of research, encouraging comments and emails (that were charged) she tells me we are on the losing side judging by the history of cases like it. Very unprofessional leading customers on and playing with their hopes. They may have lower retainer/rates but they won’t hesitate to take their time with things.

Absolutely amazing!!! Before I retained Sauer Petterson Family Law, I was honestly beginning to think my case was a lost cause. Brandi Petterson has consistently exceeded not only my expectations, but all of my hopes for my case! She has NEVER let me down. She has ALWAYS been available when I needed her. Most of all, it feels like she has truly taken my case personally from the moment I walked into her office - to the point that I know she genuinely cares! I do not feel like I am just another client to her or her staff. For a long time, I thought that there was very little chance of being able to be an active dad to my daughter. The chips always seemed stacked against me, but I took a shot and called Sauer Petterson. Brandi and her staff have never given up and totally turned things around. Brandi never promised anything other than she would do her best. Her advice has been spot-on 100% of the time! She's confident, professional, tough, knowledgeable, and meticulous.
