The only problem with writing a review for the Pope Law Firm is that this form only allows five stars. Otherwise, I'd give it six stars. Or ten, if allowed. My wife and I worked with Liz on redoing our wills and wow, what a difference between her and the previous attorney we had. She had many, many thoughtful questions that carefully explored our particular circumstances. Then she not only offered options on each, but recommended the one she thought best. I noticed a reviewer gave one star based on his appraisal of the yard. Huh? Someone with too much time on his hands, obviously. First, the firm's landscaping is wonderful (as is the restoration of the historic home the firm is located in), and second, this is like rating Einstein's theory of relativity a failure because he wore rumpled clothing. Get a life. Everyone else? Use this firm for your estate needs.

They are always on top of changes to Georgia laws, and proactively hold seminars to share information. Their AMP (Annual Maintenance Plan) is well worth it, if you want or need to make adjustments to your various documents (i.e. trust, will, health directive, financial directive, etc.).

I don't generally write reviews but believe my mother was overcharged and underserved. Mr. Prior drew up my parents wills in 2007. Ten years later when my Dad died, he said the wills were useless and recommended she form a trust. I believed he should have advised her to get through probate and then make what are pretty complicated decisions later. My Dad had just died. It was a sad, confusing time with many decisions to be made. After taking my Mom's $5000 (a lot of money to fill out some forms), he was unavailable for assistance. There was a mistake in the Power of Attorney, but he would not offer help in any way unless she paid him more money. Notice that one of his three 5star ratings is done by him. I don't think it counts if you rate yourself. My husband and I just established a trust in another state and the time and attention we recieved (for less than half the price) made it very clear how little my Mom got for her money from Mr. Prior. Choose another firm.

My husband and I needed to draft a will since we were going on a trip and leaving our son behind. (Just in case!) We had been meaning to do it for years but never got around to it. Kristen at Bequest came highly recommended by our financial advisor and we are so glad we made the call! She was very personable, helpful, and understanding and we had our Will drafted and completed in a week and a half. I am so glad we worked with her and am going to recommend her to everyone I know. Our Will was fairly straightforward but I guarantee she has the expertise to work on highly complex estate plans. Her and her entire team were great from start to finish. Very affordable too!

Sarah was recommended to me by another lawyer and according to the reviews has also been recommended numerous times. This was a good start. During my process, I also had considered a couple of other lawyers. They wanted thousands of dollars just to get started and promised a lot of results, but not without much proof of their ability that they could do so. I also had learned on the internet that some of these lawyers get paid thousands and then do not work hard on the case or even disappear! Now back to Sarah. She charged me only a nominal fee for one hour of great legal advice. Sarah is up front with the situation, and obviously wants to service her clients, instead of focusing on ample amounts of money for her. In the long run, she will be very busy as more and more clients will recommend her great professionalism and service.

Loraine’s firm did both my estate plan and my Dad’s back in the day, and we were very satisfied with that work. But she really showed her skills and experience when my Dad passed away and she guided me through my responsibilities as executor. She spent a lot of time helping me understand what needed to be done overall. And then she was very patient in letting me do what I was capable of (guiding as needed), and stepping in herself when necessary. I know she and her firm could have handled everything, but she helped me save a lot of money for the beneficiaries, which I greatly appreciated. It was an outstanding experience during a stressful time, and I’m a huge fan.

I hired this attorney after 3 of my family members passed away within a month of each other. Before hiring him and giving him my money. He was always available very responsive and this was just before Christmas. After I paid his retainer that he was supposed to put into a trust and notify me of all work being performed as we agreed to on the phone. I never heard back from him for 3 weeks. He promised to get the contract to me and I never received it. He said he uploaded it to the client portal but I was unable to print it or download it. I told him that and he said he would fix it. Stephen later deleted my access to the client portal. I had to call and text excessively 50 times before he got me in touch with his partner. Then His partner quit because he said Stephen lies to much and made promises to him. I got my turn next Stephen started lying to me said he filed all my petitions and it was the court who was slow or there were 15 attorneys reviewing my case,. Stephen will lie just to lie. Make him give you a contract before doing any work. Please look back at his old google reviews he does this all the time Report him to the State Bar. I am in the process. He did not complete the work stole the money and it was never in a trust. He even lied to the court clerk when we were trying to verify he paid the court fees which was included with his cost and so called military discount. He told me not to include the court on our conversation because it broke attorney client privilege and it does not. Do not believe his coming response which is to deny the truth or say he was sorry. He is sorry and not to be trusted. Do not hire this guy he does not care you are very vulnerable because of your loss he takes advantage of this situation.

Please find another attorney....The ball has been dropped on a case that Stephen was hired and I have never seen an attorney that drops a probate case in the middle of court proceedings. The higher power has the last say...Find you an attorney that is for you not the opposite side. I have hired plenty of attorneys in my lifetime. And I must honestly say I have never been treated unfairly until I made a big mistake and came across Scriber Law firm. Then he doesn't see anything wrong in his profession to his clients and has selective memory when the truth is being told Find you a professional attorney that cares for their clients and cases. Stephen pay for what ? A couple of pieces of paper filed as well as you agreed to receive your retainer fee once the probate case settled. It is what it is! But since you sent me a withdrawal letter from the case can you also send one to the probate court they have not received anything. Also there's no need to call you -you will not return calls as usual

I hate to be the barrier of bad news but if you are in need of legal counsel seek others. I signed an electronic copy of a contract last year March 2020 to help settle my deceased dads estate. It is almost a year and The little progress that we have is because of me. The only thing Stephen did was write a letter to the loan office. For the first couple of months he blamed everything on COVID and the courts being closed. Which was understandable until I realized that he was lying about sending certain documents. He doesn’t respond to emails, phone calls, or messages sent thru the client portal. I will be reporting him to the BAR and I will never recommend his services to anyone even if it was for free.

I was referred to John Roberts by a top law firm in Orlando to handle a case for me in Atlanta. I could not have been happier with the outcome, service and attention that I received from John and Kristi. I found that John was always easy to get a hold of, responded quickly and offered very sound advice on how to approach the case. I read some of the other reviews and want to stress that any time that you engage a top attorney, it is going to cost you money and take time to get results. You get what you pay for. In this instance, I got a superior attorney that resolved my case in a highly satisfactory manner. If you are worried about a couple hundred dollars then I suggest you find an attorney within your budget. But, if you want excellent representation then I suggest you contact John Roberts.

I am an attorney, and I needed a document drawn up, with an escrow, to hold funds in connection with a real estate transaction. Mr. Roberts could not have been more professional in his execution of the agreement and, eventually, the prompt disbursal of the funds at the close of the escrow--literally years later. His staff were also wonderful to deal with. Can't recommend him enough.

It seems like I did most of the work. It was extremely difficult to do in my time of grief over losing my son. Once they got their payment, there was no more communication. I never went through this before so I don't know exactly who was supposed to do what. I did everything they told me to do and then some. Sorry, but I felt very disappointed. What exactly does an Estate Attorney do? Maybe they did what they were supposed to do, if so, a little more communication could have been better. I was left with more questions than answers.

If I could pick out one word that describes Mr. McKee, it would be "INTEGRITY". He has represented me with the greatest ethics and utmost professionalism. His expertise is of the greatest caliber. He does not flounder in his handling of my case, and works on it as diligently as he would want a member of his own family represented. From the very beginning of my association with Mr. McKee, I have never felt merely as another case number, but have been given personal attention to resolve the issues that have been presented.
