At first it seem like this was going to go very well! Trying to switch placement to me, but I barely heard from my lawyer here and then when my sons father went to jail all of a sudden we couldn't get the papers to him then we couldn't get them signed. It just seemed like she was too busy to really deal with me. They get you with the flat rate of $1200, but then to do anything that deals with the court room is another $2000. I do not recommend them. If I'm going to pay this money I would expect to hear from the lawyer more then 4 times in four months.

I wanted to say nothing but good things, unfortunately when the going got tough my lawyer basically got up and ran off. Not to mention these lawyers are probably the most expensive ever. I do not recommend.

I had the pleasure of using attorney Ellen Rhodeman to represent me in my separation. I was nervous as I had never had to use a attorney in my life. As soon as I spoke with Ellen I could immediately tell that I had excellent representation on my side. In my case I wanted the legal side of things to go smoothly and I didn't want a long dragged out separation, thats exactly what I got. I could tell that Ellen was looking out for my best interest and was not looking to drag things along to get more money in attorney fees. She is a honest, smart, and overall just a fantastic attorney. Thank you Ellen for helping me through the most difficult time in my life. While the outcome of my divorce was to my favor, I would not attribute that to Linda's efforts. I would say overall Linda's performance ebbed and flowed over the course of her representing me. She had good moments where she responded quickly and clearly but there were times where she didn't respond to questions at all and her communication was poor when she did. I also felt at times that she did not have respect for me and potentially some of her office staff when she appeared to be unprepared for court. I would say inconsistent but competent is most honest review I can provide. Lastly, if Linda had put in the same amount of effort in my case and exhibited as much passion defending me as she does responding to negative reviews, I probably wouldn't have fired her.

I retained Alison Krueger for a messy divorce. She made it sound like she had all the answers/solutions during our initial consultation. When it was time for court, she was nowhere near prepared. My ex-husband's attorney ate her for lunch. My ex hadn't produced any of the requested documentation. Instead of her doing a discovery, we go to court basically for nothing and with nothing. We didn't even have wage information. Needless to say, I had to let her go. Beware of her misleading information and nonchalant attitude. I do not recommend this attorney.

Teri Nelson has been an excellent, reliable and supportive lawyer for me. Her office staff is amazing, always ready to answer questions and in the know about the situation. I recommend this practice highly. It was recommended as one of the best in Milwaukee by a good friend of mine who is also a lawyer. He was right! Michelle Fitzgerald is a knowledgeable and compassionate lawyer. She fights hard for her clients, is efficient and gets the job done. During my divorce she taught me collaborative ways without being reactive to communications I'd receive. Unfortunately my divorce could not be done collaboratively. 20 years later - I now have a whole different set of needs as I move forward. I had to fire Atty Fitzgerald due to what I viewed as a complete lack of preparation and effort, which negatively impacted my case. I deeply regret it, and I hope this review helps someone else not make the same mistake I made. IMO. Update 6/2/21: not only is that response to my review dismissive and condescending, but it attempts to completely re-write history and blame-shift onto the judicial system. The lack of accountability is appalling IMO.

I was able to have a consultation with Laurie Bigsby within 24 hours of requesting the meeting. She was extremely knowledgeable about the student loan processes and time frames. Kathryn was very friendly right from the beginning and always listened to what I had say to state the situation that happened and answered all the questions and concerns I had. Sometimes she had to look up certain questions to give me an accurate answer and I never felt rushed with Kathryn when it came to talking about my case or reaching out for any questions I had. She would return all my calls the same day (unless it was a holiday) and would always put me at ease with the whole situation. She was always transparent with what the law states and what that would mean for my case and the most likely outcome. There was never a time I was mislead to thinking an outcome would be drastically different than what it turned out to be. Before each court session usually a day or two beforehand I would sit down with Kathryn or talk over the phone about what the session was, what questions might be asked, what her game plan was, and what information she needed from me and what I had to do (if anything at all). She was always well prepared for everything and I would know what to expect and I was never kept in the dark or blindsided by any moves she made. When it came time for mediation after several court sessions, she again sat down with me and came up with a game plan of what to go over in mediation and how I should ask for certain criteria to be in our agreement for mediation to be most likely obtained. She always made sure I was well armed before going into anything. Kathryn and her strategy got me what I wanted within the law of the state and I could not have chose a better lawyer to represent me. To this day she still answers any of my what if questions that may not actually happen until down the line, but she puts me at ease and reduces my stress by informing me how to handle those particular cases if they were to arise.
