All these reviews are either lies or the cases were too simple to fail. Contact me for court transcripts of his poor and negligent representation. The dude doesn't even clean up for court and tries to extend and extend your case because he doesn't care. My worst mistake was to trust him with my case. I ended up representing myself and he said he was withdrawing. I have all the emails if you care to find out more. Check Jen's review too

I'm not sure if the good reviews coming from friends and family members or what ...I was baffled by good reviews ..case was annulment for my daughter the dude doesn't talk in court at all he left us defenseless and definitely lost the case he was not prepared.. has terrible office, I don't recommend him at all even in simple cases

Keith Jones and April Anderson worked as my legal team during a long divorce process. Keith presents a balanced demeanor with a gift for explaining the process in layman's terms. April ensures calls are scheduled and updates provided as she has them. I like to point out that whereas friend said it took her lawyer weeks to notify her about her divorce, April called me as soon as she knew. These two are the ones you want for your case!

After 39 years of marriage, having to go through a divorce was the last thing I ever thought I would have to do. Unfortunately, I did have to go through it and it would have been much harder for me to deal with if it were not for the efforts of Robert Miller, Owen Togna and the rest of the team at Smith Strong. They made this very difficult and complicated process much easier and offered me outstanding competent legal advice. “Recommendation”/tip (via family): If your case is being adjudicated in the County of Henrico, by all means, have Napier take it on, as she's very tight with members of this court system. I.e., When you’re dealing with a government institution like Henrico courts, network(ing) supersedes skill/expertise.

Colleen Quinn and her team have assisted with the adoption of both of our children. I contacted Chris to understand the process of a non-contested divorce. He met with me twice at no charge to gather information and help me understand the process, which he did expertly. He explained technical legal jargon clearly and answered all of my questions patiently. I felt confident and comfortable moving forward with the divorce through Evolution because of how well I was treated and how much I felt valued. I also interacted with several other members of Chris' team throughout this process and everyone was friendly, communicative, punctual with responses and paperwork, and extremely helpful overall. They really helped alleviate a lot of the stress and anxiety that can come with going through something like this. Now, for his Pre-Agreed Pricing: All my life, I've heard horror stories of exorbitant legal fees creating financial crises in people's lives. Knowing I wouldn't be nickel-and-dimed was appealing because I could budget and predict my finances around this process instead of being hit with unexpected expenses and fees. Also, I was astounded just how much time and work was covered under one pre-agreed price. I honest and truly felt that I got much more than my money's worth. We have a very positive and rewarding experience with Alicia Finley, one of the attorneys at Barnes & Diehl. Our case was very complex and complicated because as grandparents we were seeking visiting privileges and eventually custody of our granddaughter. We had moved here from Greensboro, NC because the father had retained custody of the child after being absent from the child's life almost from birth. We were underrepresented by our attorney in Greensboro. We met first with the owner of the firm and he recommended Ms. Finley. She stepped in and took the time to understand and appreciate our granddaughter's situation. She took the time to get to know us and the role we had played in her life. The legal process took from 2018 to 2021 when we secured full physical and legal custody of our granddaughter. Ms. Finley leveraged her expertise and supported our mission. Most importantly, she is skilled in the legal processes and her court presence and knowledge played a significant role in this positive outcome. Her help in navigating the legal situation proved to be a key factor in getting what was the best for our grandchild. We both highly recommend her for any family domestic and custody needs that require legal attention.

Very disappointed with the service here. Specifically with Nupur Bal. I found her via Richmond time magazine as one of the best marital attorney so I thought she’ll be the best person to hired for my prenuptial with my fiancé. During our meeting, I specifically asked for her to note to have my dog in the contract. When the agreement is drafted, he was not mentioned on there, I feel like I got a run of the liter contract literally. Another negative experience was when I emailed her regarding some questions, waited 2 weeks no response from her, I also reach out to her assistant dotty at the time no response either. Turned out Dottie had retired - but this is no excuse for Nupur to not respond to my email. Of course this got resolved and I was told she got a new assistant now, once again I needed modification to my prenuptial and emailed her to do so, it’s been a month plus and I hadn’t gotten a respond. These experiences can’t help but to make me feel very unimportant after putting down $2500 as retainer and with already $1800 taken out of it for this contract. Mind you I get charged for any corespondent, which I don’t mind if she would do her job. Anyway, I received an email 2 days ago from Nupur to follow up on my prenuptial and was charged $41 yesterday for her email, I hadn’t responded yet but I will email and terminate my working relationship with her. But really like seriously? Your only job is to help me, while you can’t respond to my other email which I paid for is ridiculous, how she won any awards really is questionable to me on my experience of how she handle clients. We ended up using another attorney for the agreement. It said I only have $700 left from the account. I took my already $1800 paid as a lost cause and work with someone else and not have to baby sit her to follow up. I would not recommend Nupur Bal to anyone and highly recommend you to find someone else.

Sharon is an amazing attorney! She is very personable and fun to chat with, which makes the whole process much easier. She is also extremely knowledgeable and very experienced in estate planning, wills and trusts. Sharon has checklists for everything, making sure you have all of your bases covered for all circumstances. After your consultation, she puts together a comprehensive package, and on your next meeting, you leave with everything you need -- broken into labeled binders, separate folders, etc. You can then store your files or give them to the proper people in your life, getting all of your affairs in order. And, all of your documents are also on a thumb drive as well. I'll be honest -- I went into this whole situation dreading it (acknowledging your mortality, a mountain of paperwork). But Sharon made this, dare I say, fun? An incredible weight has been lifted off of our shoulders with this responsibility finally checked off the to-do list. Throughout the process, she made it as easy as possible, answered every question (and when we threw her a curve ball, she researched the answer), and was great to work with. And, we left her office knowing we were fully-prepared. We cannot recommend her highly enough. The day we left her office with our materials, I emailed friends and co-workers with her contact info. Those who have also used her services rave about her as well.

I located the services of Ms.Stewart for my partner back in 2018. Fast forward to 2021 and we are both still very happy to have her on retainer for our legal needs. Mine was held up a few but not due to them they did everything they could to make the process as smooth as possible. I spoke with Ms. Barclay several times about my situation before retaining her. That says a lot about a law firm and there attorney's. Ms. Barclay did not hesitate to answer any questions. I have also worked with Ms. Rowedder, she is very pleasant and wonderful to work with as well. Katy the receptionist goes above and beyond as well.
